Universal Pictures is catching flack for removing the black couple (actors Faizon Love and Kali Hawk) from the movie’s UK poster. A studio rep told the Daily Mail that removing Love and Hawk wasn’t racially motivatted, but necessary to focus on “actors who are most recognizable in international markets.” ‘Couples Retreat’ has already grossed over $100 million in the US. We’ll see if this renewed interest in the film kicks it into blockbuster status out of theaters.
