Neil Patrick Harris, At The Muppets World Premiere in Hollywood on Saturday a few humans passed by on the green carpet for the highly anticipated film. Watching the festivities live, our exclusive look gave a front row seat to Hollywood’s biggest names. The flashes of the paparazzi went off when Miss Piggy was inctroduced and the crowd went wild seeing Kermit the Frog. Then the humans came down the green carpet (traded for the traditional red carpet) and we got an exclusive look at a very unique Hollywood premiere.

Some of the greats, like Mickey Rooney and Sir Anthony Hopkins strolled by and got great respect. Sharing a moment for the photographers, both gentlemen seemed in a hurry. Then Neil Patrick Harris, Nancy Grace and even Lisa Rinna walked by in an odd sort of allotment of Hollywood’s famous folk.

Of course the human who got the most response was the brainchild of The Muppets movie, Jason Segel. Sharing the vision of The Muppets with the audience, not only did he write and produce the film, he also stars next to Amy Adams in the film. Overshadowed, of course, by the Muppet characters as that is who everyone came to see on Saturday afternoon. Animal, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Walter, Rowlf the Dog, and Kermit the Frog could have never expected to overshadow the humans.

Lorenzo von Matterhorn

kali-hawkWondering why ‘Kali Hawk,’ ‘Carlos Estevez,’ and ‘Lorenzo von Matterhorn’ are surging in Google Trends? We can shed some light on the mystery. Google Trends provides the hottest keywords of the hour. Though the results change frequently, the list offers a snapshot of what’s hot in the world of entertainment news. Here’s what’s steamin’ tonight…

Lorenzo von Matterhorn – ‘How I Met Your Mother’ is clearly a very popular show. “The Playbook” (Season 5, episode 8) aired Monday night, and Barney’s (Neil Patrick Harris) pickup secrets came out into the open. The Lorenzo Von Matterhorn is just one strategy, where the pickup artist creates an extensive body of fake praise and publicity online, acts humbled when a potential mate hasn’t heard of him, and then tells her to hit Google to figure him out. Fans have been Googling, but “Lorenzo Von Matterhorn” just redirects to the episode page on Wikipedia. And you thought the dude was a big deal.

Ken Ober – “I remember the first time it hit me,” Ken Ober said of realizing he was known as a game show host first, entertainer second. “I was in a supermarket line reading ‘TV Guide,’ and it said ‘Ken Ober, comma, TV game show host.’ And I said, ‘Oh, no, I’m a game show host.'” The 52-year-old face of MTV’s ‘Remote Control’ was found dead today at his home in Santa Monica. He’ll be remembered for helping to bring MTV into the mainstream, and yes, for being a game show host.

New Moon Premierre Live Stream – ‘New Moon’ premieres in Los Angeles Monday night and the event is getting the full 21st century VIP treatment. There’s a live video stream of the red carpet on MySpace. Dozens of entertainment writers are live blogging and tweeting about who looks hot, who brought who, and who showed up unexpected. It’s a media bloodbath and gosh is it delicious.

Lady Gaga Dead – Faking celebrity deaths is a traffic win. It’s entirely illegal and unethical, but it makes business sense. Lady Gaga is not dead. In fact, she hitched a ride aboard the space shuttle Atlantis on today’s International Space Station supply mission to determine if bubble wrap is fashionable in zero gravity. OK, that’s not true, either. And that won’t even get us any traffic. Damn.

Kali Hawk – Is it true that all publicity is good publicity? ‘Couples Retreat’ producers are about to find out. Universal Pictures is catching flack for removing the black couple (actors Faizon Love and Kali Hawk) from the movie’s UK poster. A studio rep told the Daily Mail that removing Love and Hawk wasn’t racially motivatted, but necessary to focus on “actors who are most recognizable in international markets.” ‘Couples Retreat’ has already grossed over $100 million in the US. We’ll see if this renewed interest in the film kicks it into blockbuster status out of theaters.

Carlos Estevez – You’ve probably already guessed who we’re talking about here. Unlike older brother Emilio, Carlos Irwin Estevez took on his father’s stage name at an early age. Emilio opted to blaze his own path to fame unhindered by the expectations that go along with being a Sheen. Both strategies worked. Emilio is one of the iconic faces of ’80s cinema. Charlie is one of the iconic faces of ’00s TV. Emilio was married to Paula Abdul. Charlie was married to Denise Richards. Emilio coached the Mighty Ducks. Charlie played Topper Harley in ‘Hot Shots!’ The Estevez/Sheen bros can be proud of what they’ve done.
