New Orleans Newspaper, The most influential newspaper in the Gulf of Mexico took a critical look at the string of post-oil from the sea disaster and wondered if the green light from U.S. government should instead be a flashing yellow warning.

In an extensive article published Sunday in The New Orleans Times-Picayune and written by journalist Bob Marshall, the paper addresses many issues toxicologists and health professionals have raised the issue of security guarantees seafood

The newspaper notes that skepticism is widespread, even among those living in the Gulf region.

“Sales of seafood caught locally are down and some restaurants still will not serve,” said Marshall.

The final concern is the basis for determining safe levels of personal contamination, implying an average weight of 176 pounds and an average weekly consumption of seafood by residents of the Gulf.

Many observers believe the level of weight too high, especially in leaving children at risk and the consumption level is too low for a normal diet of those living on or near the Gulf and integrate local seafood in their daily diet.

USDA officials, the Food and Drug Administration and Health in the Gulf States have collaborated on various tests of seafood and to set safe limits. But as pointed out by newspaper article, “Like most programs, food analysis, it does not certify products that are free from contamination, or even safe for all consumers. Rather, it attempts to establish a likelihood of lifetime cancer that is deemed appropriate by the risk managers.

“In this case, FDA and state officials said they decided the risk was a proper party 1-for-100, 000 chance of contracting cancer 176-pound person at times during its life life of 78 years if specified eat seafood every day for five consecutive years. ”

Fibula

September 21, 2010 by · Comments Off on Fibula

Fibula, Missouri football improved to 3-0 on Saturday in a last-minute comeback win over visiting San Diego State. The Tiger defense made a final stand for the offense the ball with less than two minutes to play.

In the act of forcing a three and out, redshirt defensive end Aldon Smith seconds broke the fibula in the last series of defensive play. He will miss the game this week with the Miami of Ohio, but hopes to return to Colorado on October 9.

Coach Gary Pinkel and team medical personnel view it as an injury to 1-2 weeks in the majority.

“Most athletes are given a week or two off and then you can play without any complications at all,” Pinkel said. “Hopefully, he’ll fall into that pattern.”

Pinkel added that the fibula is not weight lifting, which is essential for their early return to the lineup.

Smith was very happy about the situation, joking that the injury was only a cramp “bad” and its cast was just a decoration. ” He talked about how he has dealt with injuries in the past and how he plans to return to practice as soon as possible.

“I tough,” said Smith. “He played through it. Let’s see how fast it recovers and that is bad. I’ll put some ice and go out and play.”

Last year, Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year has become the defensive leader of Missouri in the first three weeks of the season. He runs the defense with three sacks and four tackles for loss and also is third on the team with 15 tackles.

Pinkel stoic showed the same confidence he did after the loss of running back Derrick Washington, who uses his famous “march” over em, move ’em up “approach to the depth chart.

“Whether it is Aldon, no matter if it’s your quarterback, whether it is the best player,” Pinkel said. “We have no excuses here. We understand that when a guy is not going to play then someone else has a responsibility and an opportunity.”

Sophomore Brad freshman Michael Sam Madison and fill the large hole in the defensive end position. Although they are listed as backup, so long have been beating into four groups of Missouri-end defense.

“They are a great opportunity,” senior cornerback Carl Gettis said. “Everyone coming and have been making plays in our package of four defensive-end. But now comes one of them to step in and fill the starting spot. It is a role for them.”

Sam Madison and recorded a sack each and forced a fumble in limited time this year. They are the leading contenders for four weeks starting job opposite Smith Jacquie junior defensive weak. Sophomore Marcus Malbrough should also see some time at the position.

“That is definitely a situation where we have much depth to” senior linebacker Andrew Gachkar said. “Obviously the team is going to lose Aldon. But with him out, it gives Brad, Sam Michael, Marcus time playing well. Definitely can fill their shoes and they can do very well.”

Unbeaten Tigers Miami of Ohio will at 1 pm Saturday at home.

Saints 49ers

Saints 49ers, 49ers can not stop committing all anxious individual errors as possible tonight. The offense committed three turnovers within 30 Santos. And just when the 49ers seemed able to regain the momentum down 19-14 with five minutes left, Phillip Adams, replacing the duty clear cover for the injured Ted Ginn Jr., flubbed a punt that he refused to go outside limits. Saints dove above it.

The 49ers defense, playing outside of his mind all night, kept New Orleans from the end zone when Pierre Thomas Patrick Willis stuck in third and goal.

Reggie Bush Injury

Reggie Bush Injury, Monday night’s NFL Monday Night Football saw New Orleans vs San Francisco and was the Saints who beat the 49ers with a score of 25-22. We have already given a full article all about the game earlier today in which it declared that a major problem for the Saints was an injury to Reggie Bush and now we have a little more notice of that injury.

The damage occurred in the fourth quarter of the game when Bush injured his lower leg immediately causing a certain amount of pain. Although he initially tried to play as soon as you tried to run the floor collapsed and had to be assisted off the field not to take part in the game. It now appears that Bush has broken a bone in his leg, according to Cindy Boren in the Washington Post.

The Post cites ESPN Adam Schefter that tweeted that Bush had suffered a fractured fibula and would be having further X-rays back in New Orleans. It seems as if the injury will keep him sidelined for at least 6 weeks, Bush said, “It’s been a week quite hard.’s Just the way life goes. I’m trying not to think the worst and just try to stay as positive as you can in this situation. That’s all you can do, hope for the best. ”

Thursday Night Football 2010

September 9, 2010 by · Comments Off on Thursday Night Football 2010

Thursday Night Football 2010, Football season starts today and San Diego Chargers are preparing to dance in the Monday Night Football national audience.
Our opponent Monday night this week is the division rival Kansas City. I spoke with lead author Patrick Allen, over at Arrowhead Addict to get some ideas about our opponent in week 1. Go to the arrowhead and get addicted Bolt Beat presence felt.
This is what Patrick had to say about the Chiefs:
1. What is expected of new offensive weapons McCluster Thomas Jones and Dexter?
I think more is expected of McCluster Dexter Jones. Jamaal Charles is the most dynamic leader and heads back to get fans want to see most of the carries. I think Thomas Jones will be more important than people realize, but only in a less flashy than guys like McCluster and Charles. Jones is here to get the tough yards and move the chains. Charles also kept fresh. His average per carry was low in the preseason, but I thought it was ok. He moved the chains on several occasions and had a particularly nice TD run. It shows when it counts.
2. What the rookie, not McCluster and Berry, Eric, if the Chargers to take into account?
Look out for Javier Arenas. He is still developing in her corner, but his return skills are frightening. He nearly took a turn in each preseason game. He has the opportunity to really help in that department KC.
Another rookie who can make a big play is free safety Kendrick Lewis. Lewis probably will not start but will see significant playing time. It was a fifth round selection so largly has flown under the radar, but it seems to be heading skills. It’s fast and has demonstrated its capacity bombing and cover well. Heads His only interception of the preseason.
Finally, be careful with the name of WR Jeremy Horne. Horne is a free agent and is very raw, but has some speed and showed the ability to achieve the separation of the corners at the high routes. I would not be surprised to see division by losing once during the game. However, whether or not Cassel will be able to give the ball is another story …
3. What kind of game plan the new offensive coordinator (Charlie Weis) and defensive coordinator (Romeo Crennel) brought the team?
Charlie Weis is playing to the strengths of the team is the running game. Expect the Chiefs to run the ball a lot and would not surprise me to apply a similar strategy to what the Jets did in the playoffs last year. The passes will be short and quick. Expect a lot of biases, screens and play action.
Crennnel Romeo has the defense game with great passion and he seems determined to create a pass-rusher using the linebackers. Beware of blitzes from the MLB and security devices. As an overall game plan, I think the Chiefs will play to stop the run and blitz a lot. They will try to rely on his strong play DB. Philip Rivers should get a lot of opportunities one at a time if you can get rid of the ball fast enough. Again, this is only a guess since this is the first game.
4. What has been encouraged by this spring? Discouraged?
The number of different individuals stepping up and making plays, especially on defense, has encouraged me. Playing linebacker seems to have improved dramatically. Younger players are stepping up and making an impact that will be crucial to the success of this team.
The Special Unit of equipment looks like it could be one of the best in the league.
I’ve been very discouraged in the play of Matt Cassel. I have seen no sign of improvement over what he did last season.
5. What is with former Charger WR Chris Chambers to marry his stalker? Does this cause distraction in the locker room?
Ja! Oddly enough all the drama of Chris Chambers has not caused any distraction at all. Chris seems to be out of trouble. It keeps his head down and goes to work. As you do, I do not think anyone is too worried about his problems with women. After Larry Johnson about slapping women who prefer to Chris Chambers to marry his stalker. Step in the right direction, I guess.
BONUS: Prediction on the game Monday Night Football
Logic tells me that the Chargers should win this game. The heads are better, but are still very young and inexperienced. That said, the picture seems to be set for a disappointment. With the Chargers are missing some key players and the atmosphere Monday Nigh in Arrowhead, I believe that the leaders could well hang in there and maybe steal it.
I will kind of take the path of chicken here and say that if the bosses can create two turnovers and holding on to their own balls, squeak a victory. If the Chargers hold on to the ball and heads are turned, at least once, probably will not be able to overcome and the Chargers will win.
