Catherine Zeta Jones, STUNNING Catherine Zeta Jones looks to have made quite an impression on her old man’s old man as she hugs dad-in-law Kirk Douglas at a charity gala.
Actress Zeta, 42, and movie legend Kirk, 94, were joined by her film star hubby Michael, 67, at the Children At Heart bash in New York.

Michael was looking particularly happy and healthy having beaten throat cancer last year.

The Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps star presented his father with an award in honour of his charity work.  Catherine is currently filming Broken City in New York.

Michael Douglas Throat Cancer, Appearing on the thick side but not tanned and optimistic, the Oscar winner was promoting the Oliver Stone directed sequel to Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. He won an Oscar for her portrayal of the greedy Gordon Gekko in 1987.

In a frank interview, Douglas told Letterman that the disease was diagnosed three weeks ago, after the actor had complained of a persistent sore throat. Though doctors at the beginning of summer, the tests did not reveal a cause. So Douglas traveled with his family – wife Catherine Zeta Jones and her two children – to Europe. But I still did not feel better to return and finally a doctor did a biopsy.

Because the cancer is at a late stage, Douglas acknowledged that “ it is intense and have to go at it.”

Fortunately, it remains above the neck and that means that expectations are good, with 80 percent or better chance of recovery, he said.

Douglas’s health is undoubtedly going to be a problem with the film, later this month. He will not be able to make international travel due to treatment and the line can affect his voice. Expect to lose more weight because it burns your throat. He said he has developed a new understanding of people with cancer.

Currently, the star is undergoing radiation and chemotherapy, but doctors have not ruled out surgery after eight weeks. “ I’m pretty lit right now,”joked Douglas.

The two men chatted like old friends with a letter talking about his fear when he was told he needed open-heart surgery in 1999.

Douglas, 65, is scheduled to undergo radiation and chemotherapy for eight weeks and is expected to recover fully. “I’m very optimistic,” the Oscar winner said in a statement. No further details were available.

Michael Douglas Tumor, Michael Douglas has been diagnosed with a tumor in his throat, his representative confirmed to People. According to the representative, doctors expect the actor Douglas 65 years of age to make a full recovery soon after completing eight weeks of treatment, including radiation and chemotherapy.

Douglas himself is still positive about his battle with the disease. The husband of Catherine Zeta-Jones said in a statement: “I am very optimistic.”

And also scheduled to star alongside Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum and Antonio Banderas in the movie thriller upcoming “Haywire.”
