Casey Anthony, Retired state prosecutor Jeff Ashton doesn’t pull any punches five months after Casey Anthony was found not guilty by a Pinellas County jury.

“Casey Anthony is the single greatest liar to have ever lived,” Ashton told a packed room Wednesday evening at the Gelbart Auditorium in Selby Library. “… Can any of you remember the lie three months later? No. She could remember every single detail of that lie.”

His thoughts on Casey’s father George Anthony? The opposite.

“He is a lousy liar. George stinks as a liar,” Ashton said. “He’s one of the worst liars ever. Cross-examining him is like taking candy from a baby.”

Anthony was acquitted of murder charges and numerous other lesser charges the jury could have found her guilty for the death of her daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony.

The verdict was read July 5 and after the sentencing, Ashton, a St. Petersburg native, retired. Five months later, Ashton is on the road promoting his book “Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony,” written with Lisa Pulitzer.

Ashton gave brief comments before taking questions for nearly an hour. The night was filled with deep analysis, filled with laughter at times, sometimes Ashton would joke about his own misgivings.

But the last question of the evening asked by a young girl produced one of the most chilling responses. She asked, “If Casey did kill Caylee, do you think she regrets it?”

Casey Anthony Released, Speculation continued on Wednesday that Casey Anthony would stay in Texas after her release from prison in Florida waiting Sunday. The Huffington Post online news organization reported that a source close to the Anthony family, said the Anthonys has made plans to stay with an aunt in Texas.

Casey Anthony was acquitted last week, accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2008. Anthony was found guilty of four counts of lying to law enforcement officials. She must be freed from prison on Sunday.

Speaking of Casey Anthony went to Houston has been around since the trial concluded. A “Casey Anthony Keep out of Houston,” Facebook page has already been created.

However, Florida officials have confirmed nothing about the plans for release. Anthony’s legal team has said she is the subject of death threats and that security is likely to be tight wherever he goes.

There is another new connection to Texas Anthony.

Texas Equusearch, the private group that carried out several searches for Caylee in 2008, filed a lawsuit against Anthony on Tuesday, trying to recover the cost of their searches. The lawsuit says Anthony made false statements to the group’s founder, making extensive searches, costly and time consuming to Caylee.

Defense Anthony said Caylee drowned in the family pool and her father, a former police officer, helped to cover it. Fiesta de Antonio and stores during the month before her daughter was reported missing was caused in part by the sexual abuse of her father, her lawyers said.

In another legal things, a Florida lawyer filed an emergency motion Wednesday seeking to require that Casey Anthony a deposition in a civil suit brought by a woman who is her claim for defamation.

The motion asks Anthony to attend a statement Tuesday or sometime before her scheduled release from prison on Sunday.

The move stems from a 2008 suit filed by Zenaida Gonzalez, who claims incurred by the public ridicule after Anthony initially told investigators that a woman with the same name kidnapped Caylee.

You will all remember that last week, Casey Anthony was found not guilty in the murder of her daughter Caylee Anthony. It seemed a though the evidence presented was too circumstantial the jury to convict. Caylee’s death remains a mystery and will probably remain so.

Casey Anthony is set to be released this Sunday, July 17. She was acquitted of murder charges but was however, still loaded with some minor acts. Time spent in custody awaiting trial for murder is attributed back to her so she will be released in just a few days.

In other news of Casey Anthony is being sued by a group of people who have wanted Caylee back in 2008. Casey had asked the company Equusearch to help find her daughter Caylee, that she knew he was dead. The company is suing Mrs. Anthony for more than 100,000 frauds and claiming.
