Opm Status, The president of the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Educational Association yesterday a call to member schools to encourage their students to take action sports competitions and literary and musical where the Western Visayas PRISAA Meet opens at Bacolod on December 19.

Dr. Rosario De Guzman, head of the 59-member NOPSSCEA said the regional organization of the Games in Bacolod City is a rare treat for the sports-loving Bacoli? Bones and Negrenses.

Almost 1,000 soloists sporting and cultural provinces of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Iloilo and host Negros Occidental, are vying for top honors in 13 sports and 10 events in literary and musical during the 19-22 December competition anchored on the theme “WVPRISAA: Improve Total development in a healthy world.”

Philippine Sports Commission President Ricardo “Richie” Garcia, a Negrense, will keynote the 8th edition of the regional games PRISAA after attending the boxing championships to be held at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Center activity that is one of the flagship sports program of the Governor Alfredo Mara? The opening rites are planned at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Gym following a parade and procession of Rizal Elementary School. After the Games, the search for Mutya ng 2010 WVPRISAA takes CenterStage to 2009 Mutya jellian Dinorog Rose Colegio San Agustin Bacolod and President WVPRISAA Engineering. Richard Salas Western Institute of Technology crowned the new queen.

Also invited to the opening WVPRISAA are Mara? Sur, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia and Commission on Higher Education Regional Director, Dr. Virginia Resurreccion.

Meanwhile, Fr. James Bumangabang UN-R Talisay, vice president and president NOPSSCEA simultaneous opening and closing, culture and attribution WVPRISAA Committee, said that the literary and musical competitions are scheduled for 21 December Riverside College quadrangle.

Harford County Public Schools, Harford and Baltimore schools have reacted to the heavy rain and weather conditions in the area closures and delays. Public Schools announced that Harford County Havre de Grace Elementary School closed early at 9:40 am “due to deteriorating weather conditions”.

Now we know that all schools will close at 11 am, noon middle schools and primary schools at 1pm.

The closure of schools after the announcement of the closure of roads by the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

Bad weather, which brought together 2 to 4 inches of rain during the night was caused by Tropical Storm Nicole, and more rain is expected today.
