The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) is a university, focusing on engineering, located in Hyderabad, India, with satellite campus in Kakinada and Anantapur. It also offers a business school. Founded in 1965 as Nagarjuna Sagar Engineering College, the school was renamed in 1972.
JNTU located in the heart of the city at Kukatpally. The university’s accreditation category A by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).

This university was regarded as an independent concept after Law No. 30 of the approval of the Legislature Andhra Pradesh known as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Act, 2008 which came into force August 18, 2008.
