Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Viewers could be in for a shake up this season on Dancing with the Stars. “I still don’t know if I’m on the show,” Maksim Chmerkovskiy tells ET Canada. In good humor he added, “maybe everybody’s going to be really short [this sseason].” At 6’2,” he says, “It’s not going to be a good pairing.”

Meanwhile, producers have made the call to Giuliana Rancic. ”Yes, I’ve been approached for the new season,” she confirmed to E! News about her involvement.

“I’ve been a big fan of the show for years,” she said. “But sadly, my schedule at the moment would never allow for the grueling rehearsal commitment. Who knows, maybe Bill and I can be on the show together one day and go toe-to-toe for the trophy.”

As for Maks, don’t count him out just yet. “I’m happy to return every season,” he said. “Every off-season, something changes, something happens to make me realize how good I have it, and that’s the most important thing. A little bit of competitiveness goes away and a little bit of appreciation takes over and I’m very appreciative of the show and what the show has done for me and for us. And, I shouldn’t be really upset about the little things and appreciate the big ones.”

Brad Penny, “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Karina Smirnoff announced that her boyfriend became engaged to baseball player Brad Penny, People magazine reported Sunday.

Although the Ukrainian-American dancer was eliminated from the ABC dance competition reality with the celebrity couple Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, October 13, recovered from the loss and showed their enthusiasm for 4.5 carat diamond ring engagement at a party in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Smirnoff, 32, was previously engaged to his “ETAP” co-star Maksim “Maks” Chmerkovskiy, but ended their relationship in September 2009 after being together nine months.

Prior to her relationship with heartthrob of Ukraine, dated TV Smirnoff Mario Lopez from 2006 to 2008. Lopez was the celebrity couple in the third season of the hit reality show.

Penny, also 32, is a starting pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals. He met dance star through a mutual friend, UFC fighter Chuck Liddell, and the two began dating in October 2009.
