February 8, 2012 by · Comments Off on Kris Humphries Kardashian Divorce Trial

Kris Humphries Kardashian Divorce Trial, You saw the wedding. Now you may be able to see the divorce of Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian as well. TMZ reports that the divorce is turning “bitter,” and that Humphries and his lawyer are scheming to get the trial broadcast on TV.

A source tells the site that Humphries and lawyer Lee Hutton want to “expose the M.O. of reality TV” during the trial and will attempt to show that the television wedding was a Kardashian sham, all undertaken to get ratings.

As part of the plan, they will ask a judge to allow television cameras in the courtroom.

Humphries as said that he wants the marriage annulled on the basis of fraud.

Meanwhile the Minnesota Twins are auctioning off a baseball signed by Kardashian and Humphries. They signed the ball before a Twins game last July (before they were married), when Humphries threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The proceeds from the auction will go to charity. Online bidding ends, fittingly, on Valentine’s Day.

Kourtney And Kim Take New York

February 8, 2012 by · Comments Off on Kourtney And Kim Take New York

Kourtney And Kim Take New York, Last week, it was reported that Kris Humphries wanted his split proceedings from reality queen Kim Kardashian televised. The alleged reason? He wants to expose Kim and Kourtney & Kim Take New York, the TV series he filmed with her during their brief, 72-day marriage, as phonies. Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with top celebrity divorce attorney Raoul Felder, who weighed in on why televised proceedings could be great for Kris… while being Kim’s worst nightmare.

Wetpaint Entertainment: It was previously reported that Kris wanted an annulment, not a divorce. Do you need to go to court to get an annulment?
Raoul Felder: Yes, although there is usually not a jury, just a judge who presides. But whether it’s an annulment or a divorce, it needs to be granted by a judge or it’s not legal.

Can both sides call witnesses?
Absolutely — Kris, especially, will need to. You have to have at least one witness who can corroborate that fraud was committed. Kris needs someone who was there when Kim said something along the lines of “I never really wanted to marry you,” or “I did this for the publicity.” If that someone happens to be a member of the production crew, Kris’ team can subpoena him. If they think something along those lines was caught on tape, but never used on TV, they can subpoena the raw footage.

So you think this is a smart move on Kris’ part?
I think it’s a brilliant move. If it happens, Kim will be subject to cross-examination. She will have to answer questions like, “Did you discuss the wedding and the marriage with your publicity team? Did you have a strategy?” She will have to answer truthfully.

California is a state where cameras are allowed in the courtroom as long as the judge agrees to it. What will a judge take into consideration when deciding whether or not to allow cameras into this courtroom?
He may feel the people have a right to know. This was a very public union and he may feel they opened themselves up to this based on the fact they put their marriage on television in the first place.

Another reason is the fraud issue. If Kim is found guilty of defrauding Kris, it opens her up to possibly getting sued by others. A lot of vendors donated their time, money, and services to this wedding. If it’s proven Kim never had any intention of staying married, they could potentially claim she defrauded them, too.

Would you ever be interested in representing Kris?
I don’t need to. He’s obviously getting great advice.

Do celebrity courtroom breakups make for good TV?
The only other one that comes to mind is years ago when Marvin Mitchelsen represented Joan Collins when an ex of hers challenged their pre-nup. Joan fainted in court. So yes, I think it could make for great television!

Kris Humphries

Kris Humphries, If Kris Humphries gets his way, all the dirty details from his upcoming date in divorce court with reality star Kim Kardashian will play out on TV and on the Web.

The New Jersey Nets basketballer and his lawyer, Lee Hutton, are angling for overexposure because they believe it will help their case if the ugly truth about the cutthroat reality-TV business is revealed to the general public.

They say that allowing cameras in the courtroom for the divorce proceedings will reveal that Kardashian was more interested in boosting ratings for her show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” than in staying married to Humphries, according to www.tmz.com.

Kardashian, 31, filed for divorce from Humphries, 27, on Oct. 31, just 72 days after the couple’s wedding.

Madonna skipping Michigan
No big surprise here: Madonna, riding a wave of glory and big TV ratings after her Super Bowl XLVI halftime performance Sunday, has announced the dates for her upcoming world tour. She’ll be hitting the road to promote her new album, “MDNA,” which arrives March 26.

Currently, the six-month tour includes stops in the Middle East, Europe and throughout North America. The shows start May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and the last listed date is Nov. 17 in Atlanta (although a Miami date following the Atlanta show is expected).

Madonna also skipped Michigan venues during her 2004 and 2006 tours. She initially didn’t have a Michigan show on tap for her 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour but eventually added a Ford Field performance.

Kim Kardashian Kris Humphries Divorced After 72 Days

Kim Kardashian Kris Humphries Divorced After 72 DaysKim Kardashian Kris Humphries Divorced After 72 Days, After Kim Kardashian decided to file for divorce from her hubby of only 72 days, Kris Humphries, she distanced herself from everyone-including her BFF Brittny Gastineau. Kim didn’t even attend Brittny’s birthday bash! What kind of BFF is that?

Now, Brittny has decided it is time for her to move away from L.A. (and therefore, Kim Kardashian) and back to her home of New York City. Gastineau has decided it’s time for a new venture in her life and that NYC is the place where she wants to make it happen.

Brittny Gastineau told Hollywood Life, “I miss living in NYC and have been looking for the perfect apartment for a while. There is no place like home and my mom and I are working on plans to open our first Tres Glam Jewelry boutique in New York City.”

Although Kim and Brittny have patched things up since the fall, Brittny seems ready for a fresh start. Gastineau is definitely not focusing her decision to move in any way on Kim, which is perhaps a sign that their friendship is not as strong now as it once was. Instead, Brittny is wholeheartedly looking forward to the move out east. “I can’t wait to be back in NYC,” she said.

At this time, Brittny Gastineau plans to keep her current place in Los Angeles-after all, Kim isn’t her only friend on the west coast. Plus, it’s never a bad idea for a girl to have options.

Will And Jada Split

December 14, 2011 by · Comments Off on Will And Jada Split

Will And Jada Split, Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith can’t seem to shake tabloid headlines that they are heading for a divorce, after endless fighting and living separate lives, even though they were just spotted out together in Miami.

The couple’s seemingly storybook Hollywood marriage exploded in August when reports surfaced that Jada, 42, was getting a little too close to co-star Marc Anthony on her cable show “HawthoRNe.”

The family, which includes children Jaden and Willow, and Smith’s son Trey by another marriage, decided to take some time off and consider their options, according to gossip site TMZ.

At the time, a source said a future split was “definitely a possibility” but the couple denied they were splitting up, threatened lawsuits and dispatched reps to say things were still solid between them.

Since then, things seem to have gone from bad to worse, or maybe not.

The latest breakup rumors were reported in Star magazine, which has a sketchy reputation for less than rock solid reporting.

“They’ve been trying to work through it, but things came to a head in early November, when they got into a huge knock-down, drag-out fight,” a source reportedly told the magazine.

Sources say couple are having endless fights, sleeping in separate bedrooms, and living separate lives, the magazine reported.

“They’ve been faking it for a long time and they don’t want to live a lie anymore,” the source said.

“Living and sleeping separately — and now Will finally walking out on Jada — have pushed them to their limit. They’re done.”

“They’re still keeping up appearances because they worry divorce could hurt their careers, but there’s no turning back now. It needs to end.”

The couple is said to be worth $520 million, and the magazine is predicting a nasty divorce.

Ironically, Will and Jada were spotted over the weekend at a Miami club called Liv, listening to their friend DJ David Guetta, according to The New York Post.
