February 8, 2012 by · Comments Off on Kris Humphries Kardashian Divorce Trial

Kris Humphries Kardashian Divorce Trial, You saw the wedding. Now you may be able to see the divorce of Kris Humphries and Kim Kardashian as well. TMZ reports that the divorce is turning “bitter,” and that Humphries and his lawyer are scheming to get the trial broadcast on TV.

A source tells the site that Humphries and lawyer Lee Hutton want to “expose the M.O. of reality TV” during the trial and will attempt to show that the television wedding was a Kardashian sham, all undertaken to get ratings.

As part of the plan, they will ask a judge to allow television cameras in the courtroom.

Humphries as said that he wants the marriage annulled on the basis of fraud.

Meanwhile the Minnesota Twins are auctioning off a baseball signed by Kardashian and Humphries. They signed the ball before a Twins game last July (before they were married), when Humphries threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The proceeds from the auction will go to charity. Online bidding ends, fittingly, on Valentine’s Day.

Kourtney And Kim Take New York

Kourtney And Kim Take New York, Last week, it was reported that Kris Humphries wanted his split proceedings from reality queen Kim Kardashian televised. The alleged reason? He wants to expose Kim and Kourtney & Kim Take New York, the TV series he filmed with her during their brief, 72-day marriage, as phonies. Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with top celebrity divorce attorney Raoul Felder, who weighed in on why televised proceedings could be great for Kris… while being Kim’s worst nightmare.

Wetpaint Entertainment: It was previously reported that Kris wanted an annulment, not a divorce. Do you need to go to court to get an annulment?
Raoul Felder: Yes, although there is usually not a jury, just a judge who presides. But whether it’s an annulment or a divorce, it needs to be granted by a judge or it’s not legal.

Can both sides call witnesses?
Absolutely — Kris, especially, will need to. You have to have at least one witness who can corroborate that fraud was committed. Kris needs someone who was there when Kim said something along the lines of “I never really wanted to marry you,” or “I did this for the publicity.” If that someone happens to be a member of the production crew, Kris’ team can subpoena him. If they think something along those lines was caught on tape, but never used on TV, they can subpoena the raw footage.

So you think this is a smart move on Kris’ part?
I think it’s a brilliant move. If it happens, Kim will be subject to cross-examination. She will have to answer questions like, “Did you discuss the wedding and the marriage with your publicity team? Did you have a strategy?” She will have to answer truthfully.

California is a state where cameras are allowed in the courtroom as long as the judge agrees to it. What will a judge take into consideration when deciding whether or not to allow cameras into this courtroom?
He may feel the people have a right to know. This was a very public union and he may feel they opened themselves up to this based on the fact they put their marriage on television in the first place.

Another reason is the fraud issue. If Kim is found guilty of defrauding Kris, it opens her up to possibly getting sued by others. A lot of vendors donated their time, money, and services to this wedding. If it’s proven Kim never had any intention of staying married, they could potentially claim she defrauded them, too.

Would you ever be interested in representing Kris?
I don’t need to. He’s obviously getting great advice.

Do celebrity courtroom breakups make for good TV?
The only other one that comes to mind is years ago when Marvin Mitchelsen represented Joan Collins when an ex of hers challenged their pre-nup. Joan fainted in court. So yes, I think it could make for great television!

Kris Humphries

Kris Humphries, If Kris Humphries gets his way, all the dirty details from his upcoming date in divorce court with reality star Kim Kardashian will play out on TV and on the Web.

The New Jersey Nets basketballer and his lawyer, Lee Hutton, are angling for overexposure because they believe it will help their case if the ugly truth about the cutthroat reality-TV business is revealed to the general public.

They say that allowing cameras in the courtroom for the divorce proceedings will reveal that Kardashian was more interested in boosting ratings for her show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” than in staying married to Humphries, according to www.tmz.com.

Kardashian, 31, filed for divorce from Humphries, 27, on Oct. 31, just 72 days after the couple’s wedding.

Madonna skipping Michigan
No big surprise here: Madonna, riding a wave of glory and big TV ratings after her Super Bowl XLVI halftime performance Sunday, has announced the dates for her upcoming world tour. She’ll be hitting the road to promote her new album, “MDNA,” which arrives March 26.

Now for the bad news (though it’s not exactly a big surprise either): The Michigan native has left her home state off the initial tour itinerary released Tuesday by promoter Live Nation. Currently, the six-month tour includes stops in the Middle East, Europe and throughout North America. The shows start May 29 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and the last listed date is Nov. 17 in Atlanta (although a Miami date following the Atlanta show is expected).

For metro Detroiters thinking about taking a road trip, the Material Girl will play Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Sept. 12, Chicago’s United Center on Sept. 19 and Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena on Nov. 10.

Madonna also skipped Michigan venues during her 2004 and 2006 tours. She initially didn’t have a Michigan show on tap for her 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour but eventually added a Ford Field performance.

Kourtney Kardashian Pregnant

Kourtney Kardashian Pregnant, After the “16 and Pregnant” star said on Twitter she was “shocked” by Kardashian’s “poor choice” to get pregnant again, Scott Disick came to his girlfriend’s defense. When you attack one person in the Kardashian clan, you attack them all. That should be the lesson MTV’s Sixteen and Pregnant alum and Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham learned.

When Kourtney Kardashian, 32, announced that she was pregnant with baby No. 2 last week, Abraham tweeted her opinion: “I’m shocked Kourtney Kardashian is pregnant again, did she not learn anything from Teen Mom? Maybe it’s a fake pregnancy like Kim’s wedding. SAD.”

Kourtney, who was 30 when she had her first child, Mason, responded, “Why would I have anything to do with Teen Mom? I’m 32 years old! I may look young, honey, but don’t get it twisted.”

Scott Disick, Kourtney’s longtime boyfriend and father of her child (soon-to-be children), eloquently took to his lady’s defense: “We’re not teenagers ya f–king moron.”

This set off a twitter firestorm. “I don’t even know who this person is? How do you?” Kourtney’s sister, Khloe Kardashian Odom, asked Disick.

“I just thought she was some sh-t stain on twitter, no?” Disick responded in his usual form.

The twitter feud had ironic timing, as Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim Kardashian coordinated an anti-bullying rally for an episode of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, which just aired Friday.

Kourtney And Kim Take New York

Kourtney And Kim Take New York, Most successful reality shows gradually evolve into scripted soap operas. Kourtney and Kim Take New York, however, is going in a slightly different direction: It’s becoming a serialized thriller. Don’t believe me? Bust this: The episode actually began with a flashforward, just like in Lost and Dollhouse and that one show about flashforwarding where everyone on earth flashed forward and then spent the whole season talking about their flashforwards.

(I think it was called The Event.) At the start of the season premiere, we saw a quick-cut media montage. Everyone was shocked that Kim Kardashian had ended her marriage to Kris Humphries after just five seconds. How could their relationship have turned sour so quickly? After all, they seemed like the perfect couple: She, a beautiful talking wooden puppet who wanted to be a real girl; He, a giant monster apparently created by a mad scientist in a laboratory using stolen cadavers. What could have gone wrong?

A title flashed onscreen: “Eight Weeks Earlier.” And then we learned just how things went horribly, horribly, horribly wrong. Immediately after getting married, Kim and Kris moved into a two-story apartment in Manhattan’s Gansevoort Park Hotel. They had never lived together before getting married. Learning to co-habitate is a difficult adjustment for any relationship, but it was made even more difficult by the curious living arrangements. Kim and Kris were going to live with Kim’s sister Kourtney, Kourtney’s boyfriend Scott, and their child Mason. Mason marked his territory by pooping in his diaper. In hindsight, that was one of the most erudite moments in the episode.
