Hugh Hefner Birthplace, Hugh Marston “Hef” Hefner (born April 9, 1926) is an American magazine publisher, founder and Chief Creative Officer of Play boy Enterprises. Hefner was born in Chicago, Illinois, the elder of two sons born to Grace Caroline (1895–1997) and Glenn Lucius Hefner (1896–1976), both teachers. Hefner’s mother was of Swedish descent and his father had German and English ancestry. On his father’s side, Hefner is a direct descendant of Plymouth governor William Bradford.

He has described his family as “conservative, Midwest, Methodist.” He went to Sayre Elementary School and Steinmetz High School, then served as a writer for a military newspaper in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946. He later graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a B.A. in psychology with a double minor in creative writing and art in 1949, earning his degree in two and a half years. After graduation, he took a semester of graduate courses in sociology at Northwestern University but dropped out soon after.

Lohan’s n*de photo shoot was supposed to mark a rebirth for his troubled magazine, and reverse a 42 percent circulation decline last year to 1.5 million from 2.6 million.

At first the photo shoot appeared to pay off with a huge wave of publicity. But then things started to go just like Lindsay life… horribly wrong.

First the cover of the magazine leaked over the Internet. Then, some Eastern European hacker got his hands on a copy of the magazine and posted her photos online. The multiplied on hundreds of sites.

The pictures were near universally panned, because of heavy airbrushing and Lohan’s modest poses.

Hefner unleashed his legal dogs to round up the copies with take down notices to Web sites, and he moved up the magazine’s publication.

Now, Harris can rebound with a romance of her own … Over the weekend, the former girlfriend of Hef hit Pure nightclub in Las Vegas, where he was caught flirting with one of the friends of her party.

Upon arrival, Harris and her entourage of 10 were taken to a VIP table, where the aspiring singer drank champagne, took photos with fans and danced in the cabins to be with friends. According to a source, Harris and her mysterious man “trying not to show their feelings for each other during the game, [but] it is evident that those around him that Harris only had eyes for him.”

Throughout the night, Harris, in a short black sequined dress, was seen approaching and talking intimately with her boyfriend. Although no one knows his exact age, we can say that it is much younger than Hef.

In a photo of Harris, the guy with dark hair can be seen standing behind the blonde beauty wearing dark pants and a dark gray jersey over a white collared shirt. The two avoided being photographed together by separating each time the camera guys approached.

There was no visible PDA, but “sneak into the end of the night because they were seen leaving together while the rest of the friends of Harris is behind us,” said our source.

Harris was not the only former Hefner girlfriend party up with a hot piece over the weekend …
