Cotton Bowl Score, (AP) – With rumors swirling about the future of LSU coach Miles, Jordan Jefferson threw three touchdown passes to Terrence Toliver and ran for a score to help the 11th Tigers rally for a win 41 – 24 of No. 18 Texas A & M in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night.

Miles is probably one of the leading candidates for the vacant coaching at Michigan, where he played and was an assistant coach.

In the days leading up to the Cotton Bowl, Miles said his focus was on its tigers and he enjoyed where he was.

But LSU (11-2) has now completed its fourth season with at least 11 wins in six miles. The Tigers had only two 11-win seasons in their history before this date.

During the postgame celebration, Miles has LSU fight song sung loud and proud of his players. When asked, after he had returned the next season, there was a pause before Miles said: “This is a wonderful place. I like it here. ”

& Texas AM (9-4) led 10-0 in the first quarter, including a game on the field after Jefferson threw a interception, but had his series of six victories broken.

It was the 50th game between the schools of state borders, but the first since the opening of 1995. Texas & AM won the last five games in a series that probably will not be renewed in the regular season in the near future.

Jefferson was 10 of 19 for 158 yards with scoring passes of 42 yards, 2 and 41 Toliver, who had two TD catches in the regular season.

LSU went ahead for good when Stevan Ridley had aa 17-yard run, leaping over a defender near the line and right, then sweep intact in the end zone for a lead of 21-17 with 4: 43 left in the first half.

Ryan Tannehill, who had been 5-0 since taking over as the Aggies starting quarterback and threw two interceptions in the span of three pitches – after 127 consecutive attempts without a make. The second interception was by Eric Reid, who returned it 34 yards for the 2 to set up short TD pass to Toliver Jefferson for a 28-17 lead to halftime.

Miles was considered a prime candidate for work in Michigan three years ago, during the season of the LSU national championship.

In a news conference unusual pre-game before the match South East 2007 conference championship, Miles expressed his intention to stay at LSU and later signed a contract extension through 2012. Michigan eventually hired Rich Rodriguez, who was 15 to 22 when he was fired this week.

There was no talk of pre-game before Miles Cotton Bowl on Friday, after the coach and former Stanford quarterback Jim Harbaugh Michigan has accepted a five-year agreement to go to the NFL with the 49ers in San Francisco.

Before that, Harbaugh seemed to be leading a short list with Miles and San Diego State coach Brady Hoke, also former assistant Wolverines, as candidates to return to Ann Arbor and replace Rodriguez.

Regardless of what Miles did, LSU will be back in Cowboys Stadium for the match of the 2011 season – against Oregon, which plays Auburn in the BCS national championship Monday night.

Ridley, who was not sure he even had the chance to play until the NCAA reinstated him this week after an undetermined number “of a time of” violating university, had 24 carries for 105 yards. Spencer Ware ran for 102 yards on 10 carries as LSU won its first Cotton Bowl victory in 45 years, since their 14-7 victory against Arkansas in the game 1966.

After a series of three defeats that included a loss to Arkansas in Cowboys Stadium, Texas won its AM & beds Cotton Bowl with his longest series win in 12 years. The force of six games included victories over big winners of Division 12 of the Oklahoma and Nebraska, with rival Texas.

Uzoma Nwachukwu had two TD catches for the Aggies from equaling his total for the regular season. He caught a 6-pole Tannehill and 14 yards on a pass from half by Cyrus Gray, who also ran for 100 yards on 20 carries.

Tannehill was 22-35 for 204 yards with three interceptions and two touchdowns.

Coryell Judie help establish an M & two scores in the first quarter.

Judie returned the kickoff 69-yards on 31 the establishment of the first Nwachukwu TD catch two touchdown. It was the first time all season that LSU’s defense gave a score on the opening drive.

After opening the Tigers offensive player has been extended by a draft of the trouble lay, Judie has an interception with one hand near the end zone when he jumped up and fully extended his right arm. The Aggies then drove to Randy Bullock goal in the field of 39 yards and a 10-0 lead only 10 minutes into the game.

When LSU had the ball, Oliver had two arms stretched over his head when he caught a touchdown pass of 42 yards. He had the 41-mast on the opening drive of the second half.

The Tigers took their first lead on 1-yard TD Jefferson ran early in the second quarter after a missed field goal by Texas A & M. In that nine-play, 65-yard drive, Ware racing 24 yards when he spun to avoid a tackler at the line and throw two different defenders before being driven out of limits and Jefferson converted third-and-11 with a 13-yard scramble.

Go Daddy Bowl, (AP) – Make no mistake: GoDaddy.com loves women. The seller of domain names web site, including the Super Bowl ads with scantily clad women is a household name, announces that it has donated 500,000 and Centre Southwest for HIV / AIDS to launch a women’s health clinic in Phoenix.

The Go Daddy Women’s Health Center, will open its doors in 2011, will provide HIV / AIDS among women. The center will be partly funded by the city of Phoenix.

Ticket City Bowl

Ticket City Bowl, Happy New Year! How’s the hangover? Everyone will flip to the Big Ten / SEC Smorgasbord at 1:00. So I’ll keep this brief properly. The recovery is Texas Tech. Northwest lost Dan Persa to a ruptured Achilles tendon at the end of o upset Iowa. Their backup quarterback is inexperienced, inaccurate and not athletic enough to run the play area. The Wildcats can be reduced to their third string running back. Their defense gave up 118 points and more than 1,100 meters of Illinois and Wisconsin. And, oh yeah, the last time they won a game of bowls was in 1949.

Texas Tech has been effectively running the ball successfully with Baron Batch lead. The team averaged 137.8 yards per game as a lot of record 805 yards and five touchdowns. But their door at least 408 were in the Big 12, and their 1654 rushing yards were only 39 meters higher than the last place Kansas. That will change in 2011 – but not in this game

NU has struggled to systematically address their seven back, and he started to become a real problem starting in the second half of the loss to Penn State. This is a question very worked on preparing the bowl. Because of the way Texas Tech runs offensively, attacking the space is crucial. The Wildcats will not be able to win a shootout, then this defense will keep them in this competition and give them a chance to win their first bowl game since the 1949 Rose Cup.
