WAVY TV 10, WAVY-TV, channel 10, is a licensed television station in Portsmouth, Virginia, serving as the NBC affiliate for the Hampton Roads area (including the cities of Portsmouth, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, and Newport News). WAVY-TV, the third oldest in the Hampton Roads area VHF television station, began operations September 1, 1957. Tidewater Teleradio originally owned it with WAVY radio (1350 AM, now WGPL).
