Bernard Tomic, On a huge stage in the biggest game of his young career against the best player in the world, “Bernard Tomic”prévue all doubts to rest. Although predictable, beaten by world number one Rafael Nadal in a third round of the Australian Open, Tomic delivered on the hype that has shadow for years.

At 18, Tomic categorically proved he is the face of the future with a 6-2 7-5 6-3 defeat. It is just as good as it has long boasted of being. And will eventually become. Tomic was shoulder to shoulder with the French champion, Wimbledon and U.S. Open, more than holding his own.

Nadal was clearly impressed with his young opponent, applauding Tomic off the court and then win the unqualified praise.

“It is this kind of player, he makes you play bad,” Nadal said.

“I think he is improving every year. If he keeps improving like that, he will have the chance to be in the top positions.

“It will improve many things and I’m sure he’ll be a big rival.”

When Nadal shook hands at the net after match with Tomic, he told the youth: “Very good game, keep working hard in the future.

“This is an advice I’ll take him,” smiled Tomic.

“I played a superb match. Overall I’m pretty happy.”

Tomic Nadal described, “Physically-wise, he has the machine you use.

“But I’m really happy with how I played.”

He revealed that he could not sleep Friday night because of nerves.

Not that he has shown.

Production magnificent forehand cross, striped lapels and mesmerizing rhythm changes, Tomic defied pre-match predictions, it would be wiped off the court.

The most popular game at Melbourne Park before Tomic led Nadal on Rod Laver Arena was to guess the number of games Tomic would win.

The assumption of an average nine games.

And by the end of a series of first 44 minutes, this estimate may have been excessive.

As impressive as Tomic had been holding his ground on the baseline against the Warrior backcourt harder in tennis, there was a palpable sense that he was in danger of being razed.

This theory was shot on the head hitting a remarkable opening to the second round when Tomic twice broke Nadal with providing gorgeous forehand winner and stole a 4-0 lead.

The poor did not help cause of world champion Rafael Nadal, but Tomic was not only in all – it is now in the game.

Nadal switched rackets in frustration and suddenly had Tomic interference. Tomic lost serve twice in as many attempts as Nadal reaffirmed his authority.

Almost inevitably, Tomic ground Nadal into submission as the Gold Coaster is getting tired.

Intimidating and very phyiscal, Nadal has led to Tomic with the power of brands and intensity to pocket an entire 55-second minute.

Ahead by two sets to love, the Mallorcan proposes to turn the screw.

Tomic move around the court, Nadal broke serve in the first game of the third set, as the young Australian wilted slightly.

By winning games xx Tomic claimed more games in the shock of 150 minutes of Marcos Daniel and Ryan Sweeting succeeded in two games (four games).

Davis Cup captain Pat Rafter observed pre-game, the score was irrelevant.

Tomic has proved that he belonged at least as a legitimate turn. It is not yet a member of the elite, despite the widespread belief that it will end there, sooner or later.

That’s what “Bernard Tomic”réussi tonight, even if it has become the latest local bow out of Australian Open after losing Sam Stosur shock on hours of Rod Laver Arena earlier. It is a rare boast given the continued excellence of the Spaniard.

Much better Tomic Australian Open campaign ended 6-2 7-5 6-3, it was the game he played at 4-all that surprised the No. 1 worldwide. Three aces and an unreturnable serve. Nadal turned to his uncle, Tony the man who led at nine Grand Slam titles, smiled and shook his head. The kid has something.

Tomic is showed in claiming the first four games of the series, when he was the champion of under immense pressure. Before the match, Tomic said he felt Nadal would find his style _ a mix of balls out rhythm, drop shots and speed changes – uncomfortable.

This was certainly the case as the 18-year-old moved within range of at least takes a set from Nadal. Tomic played so well, Nadal felt compelled to abandon the comfort of the baseline for the network to earn points.

Only a poor service game to 4-0, which stressed that the experience helped Tomic and Nadal again in this set.

Before the match, Nadal said he thought the match would go at least four sets.

“We will try to win the third is what I thought,” he said.

“He is one of those types of players that make you play badly. His position on the ground is perfect. It is very difficult to pass from the baseline.”

The third set, too, is encouraging, even if the score does not indicate that. Tomic was broken in the first game and it seemed likely Nadal could easily close the match.

Instead, the Gold Coast teenager was working extensively on his first service game and had a number of possibilities to 2-1 to get the break, only for Nadal to find an answer, as he has done for most of the last four seasons.

Nadal, however, is more convinced than ever that Tomic is capable of reaching the highest echelons of sport?

“I think he is improving every year a large number. If he is able to continue practicing, he’ll have a good chance of being in the top positions soon,” he said.

“Every time will be increasingly difficult. He is very young and will improve many things. I’m sure he’ll be a big rival. ”
