Nfl Playoffs, (AFP) – Atlanta and Pittsburgh routed their opponents while Indianapolis and Green Bay punched their tickets for the playoffs the last day of the regular season in the NFL.

Seattle was the last team to join the party post-season by beating St. Louis 16-6 in the game late.

The Packers won the last wild-card spot with a win of 10-3 against Chicago, while the Falcons, Steelers, Seahawks and the Colts won the division titles.

The wharf other wild card went to defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.

“It’s an exciting day for our organization,” Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said. “It’s an exciting day for our fans and we are delighted that the football team. We cannot wait to prepare this week and competing against Philadelphia. ”

Kicker Adam Vinatieri lifted the Colts AFC South champion (10-6) 23-20 over Tennessee with an investment of 43 yards ending game.

It is the ninth consecutive season the Colts have reached the playoffs, tying the league record of Dallas 1975-83 together.

“A good way to finish,” said quarterback Peyton Manning’s victory.

Indianapolis hosts the New York Jets (11-5) in a rematch game of last season’s AFC championship Saturday. New Orleans (12-4) is in the NFC West Seattle winner, who became the first division champion in league history with a losing record with seven wins and nine defeats.

Next Sunday, NFC East champion Philadelphia (10-6) hosts Green Bay (10-6) and winning the AFC West Kansas City (10-6) is at home against Baltimore (12-4).

Carolina routed the Falcons 31-10 to win the NFC South title. Atlanta now gets a bye next week and home field advantage throughout the post-season.

“It was a fun day for the Falcons and the Atlanta Falcons fans,” Atlanta coach Mike Smith said. “To go 17 weeks and be the division champions here in the south and have a home game in series will be very beneficial for us. ”

The Falcons will look to quarterback Matt Ryan for his leadership throughout the playoffs. They are 20-2 at home with Ryan as a starter.

The Steelers took the AFC North with a 41-9 rout of Cleveland. They beat Baltimore for the division; the Ravens give up a wild card. Pittsburgh has a bye next weekend.

“Mission accomplished for us. We are very pleased, “head coach Mike Tomlin of the Steelers said. “We are proud to be champions AFC North and have the week off.”

New England finished with the best record in the league with 14 wins and two losses after beating Miami 38-7. The victory extended their eight-game series win.

“It is good to finish the season on this note, but for now we’re like everybody else, everybody is 0-0 at this point in the playoffs, so it’s time for us to have worn the next target, “Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

Oakland dominated Kansas City 31-10 giving Indianapolis the opportunity to become the number three seed.

Baltimore defeated Cincinnati 13-7 to finish the season while the Jets routed Buffalo 38-7.

The Jets have won two road games in the playoffs last year before being eliminated by the Colts.

Chicago (11-5) is hoping to make a run in the playoffs this year.
