Katy Perry Part Of Me

March 22, 2012 by · Comments Off on Katy Perry Part Of Me

Katy Perry Part Of Me, The few. The proud. The Katy Perry. In her “Part Of Me” video, pop’s blue-haired hit-maker – who seems to be doing just fine without Russell Brand these days, thank you very much – leaves behind an overly-flirty boyfriend and becomes so distraught that she joins the Marines.

After watching the songstress go through boot camp in the visual for her Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection single, the Internet at large weighed in with thoughts on all the camouflaged action that played out. Head below for a roundup of the critics’ reviews, then let us know your own opinion on Katy’s latest video!

:: Entertainment Weekly’s Music Mix notes, “It’s less G.I. Jane and more In the Army Now, but Katy Perry’s new pop-military video for ‘Part of Me’ is still an intense ride.”

:: The Lava Lizard hints that Perry’s recent breakup may be behind “Part Of Me”: “Perry almost always manages to deliver a solid video and ‘Part of Me’ continues that trend. In fact, she was quite convincing in the role of a scorned girlfriend and really committed to the role. I wonder why ”

:: But while the video may have been inspired by her split from Russell Brand, Huffington Post reminds us that the song, at least, was not: “…Perry has denied the song is about Brand, stating she wrote the record more than two years ago. This means that the track could very well be about her other famous ex, Gym Class Heroes frontman Travie McCoy.”

:: NewNowNext isn’t convinced, though: “We still ain’t buying that this is not a giant ‘Fu*k You’ to Russell.”

Katy Perry Divorce Papers Smiley Face

Katy Perry Divorce Papers Smiley Face, Divorce certainly isn’t dampening Katy Perry‘s spirits nor is it causing her to change how she does things like sign her name. The whole changing her hair color every five minutes? That’s a different issue and likely not a symptom of depression over her doomed union.

Nevertheless, when the currently blue-haired pop star etched her John Hancock onto her divorce papers to dissolve her marriage from British funnyman Russell Brand, she embellished her signature with a smiley face. Was that physical emoticon a dig against Brand? Is Perry telling the courts she is happy to end the marriage? Does this mean war?

Nah! She usually signs her name with a smiley face. It’s Perry’s signature’s signature! There also looks to be a heart at the end of her signature, as well. PEOPLE shared the document, which is public.

The Perry-Brand divorce seems to be going as smoothly as these things can, with the couple agreeing to terms on the distribution of their assets. Even though Perry unfollowed her soon-to-be-ex-husband on Twitter a while back, things don’t appear to be getting ugly and each half of the former couple is moving onward and upward, smiley faces and all.

Katy Perry Divorce Smiley Face, The 27-year-old pop singer and 36-year-old British comedian and actor “entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues,” according to court documents filed at a Los Angles court on Tuesday, February 7. Perry signed the papers on February 3 and her signature included a smiley face. The divorce is expected to be finalized within six months.

Perry has often included smiley faces, as well as doodles of hearts, in her signatures, as seen in autographed photos of the singer that are on sale on eBay.

Brand filed for divorce on Dec. 30, 2011, citing irreconcilable differences. He and Perry have no children. According to her recent filing, the singer has asked to restore her maiden name to Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson and also does not want the court to have any jurisdiction to award Brand any spousal support.

Perry, the daughter of California Evangelical pastors, married Brand on October 23, 2010 in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan, India, where he also proposed to her. Their divorce papers do not specify when they split.

Before their wedding, Brand told New York Magazine that he “ain’t doing no pre-nup” with Perry. Without a prenuptial agreement, a divorcing couple must split their earnings 50/50, according to California law. Details about Perry’s settlement with Brand have been kept private and the documents only state that the rights to their properties are to be determined.

Perry, one of the most popular pop singers in the world, who has also participated in high-profile ad campaigns for Proactiv acne treatments and ghd hair care products, is estimated to be worth at least $44 million, according to Forbes. Brand, who played a rock star in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and “Get Him To The Greek” and stars in the new “Rock of Ages” film with Tom Cruise is worth about $7 million .

Katy PerryKaty Perry, The stability of their marriage was called into question when Katy Perry and Russell Brand decided to spend Christmas 7,000 miles apart.

And now it has been suggested the couple’s separation over the festive period was because of a huge argument.  According to Us Weekly a source close to the couple said: ‘They had a massive fight. She was like, ‘F*** you. I’m going to do my own thing.’

Meanwhile the source said that Russell replied, ‘Fine, f*** you too.’
The source added: ‘They haven’t split up just yet, but things are not good. The fighting is getting worse.’

Katy, 27, was seen lapping up the fine weather in Hawaii with a group of friends while comedian Brand was seen in a pub in Cornwall, England.
Given their hectic work schedules have meant the couple have spent considerable time apart, the holiday season provided the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time together.

Indeed the couple were said to have planned Christmas together with reports Katy was going to jet her family in a private plane over to the UK to celebrate together.

But while they are said to have had a big row, which saw then spend Christmas apart, there is little explanation of the nature of the ‘disagreement’.
A spokesperson for the couple was unavailable for comment earlier today and neither Katy nor Russell have alluded to their relationship on Twitter.

The couple, who married in October last year after a whirlwind romance, have gone out of their way lately to quash speculation that their marriage is on shaky ground.

That good work however may be undone by the fact Miss Perry wasn’t wearing her wedding ring as she frolicked in the sea with friends.

She has previously used Twitter to dismiss marriage rumours. She tweeted: ‘Just cause we don’t flaunt our relationship doesn’t mean there’s something wrong w/it. Privacy is our luxury. ’
Comedian Brand reportedly spent his Christmas in a Cornwall pub before joining his friend David Baddiel’s charity swim.
In November, Brand’s mother Barbara had tweeted she was looking forward to spending the festive season with her son and daughter-in-law.
She wrote on Twitter: ‘Spoke to Russell and Katy, they are so happy, it’s lovely. We will all be together for Christmas.’
Apparently, Brand had also arranged for his mother and father in law, Keith and Mary Hudson, to fly into the UK on December 18th so they could all spend the holidays together.
Both The Sun and People magazine reported that Brand and Miss Perry have rented properties in the respective beauty spots for the festivities.

Katy Perry Sesame Street

Katy Perry Sesame Street, Sesame Street has not altered the mood enough with its introduction to the cleavage of Katy Perry, so I have also decided to parody that is probably the porniest television right now, True Blood. Why the program easier to preschool on TV decided to pay homage to what are absolute sex, violence, blood and horror of all cable programs was not evident. (Although the bit to include some excellent examples of the rhyme.)

It is not really the most fun to parody, but notable because it is an odd choice. And have a little cool at first with Bill superspeed. Also nice is speculation that the puppet Bill whispering, keeping order “True mud,” could be a> sigh <“curmudgeon.”

“That’s not true mud … it’s a potato!”
