Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s new relationship was the result of some wise matchmaking on the part of her close friend, according to KSN.com. Joanna Garcia and her husband, New York Yankees first baseman and outfielder Nick Swisher, decided that Sigler needed some romance in her life.

The pair introduced Sigler to Washington Nationals infielder Cutter Dykstra, and the two have been dating steadily since then.

The actress has been dating Dykstra “for a few months, and things are going really well,” a source said, adding, “I haven’t seen her this happy in a long time.”

Sigler, who is living in Los Angeles, was introduced to Dykstra through mutual friends; Yankees star Nick Swisher and his actress wife, Joanna Garcia.

Sigler was previously linked to New York Jet Mark Sanchez and her “Entourage” costar Jerry Ferrara.
