Yes Blood From Band Members Of KISS Used In Comic Book, All four members went to Buffalo, to the Marvel printing plant, where a notary witnessed them drawing blood and pouring it into the red ink. Yum.

There’s photographic evidence that also documents the gimmick of course.

Yes blood from band members of KISS used in comic book

These days, we’re very much accustomed to the merchandising juggernaut-slash-rock band known as Kiss — and “selling out” for commercials and tie-in products is simply second nature for most pop artists.

But in the ’70s, lending your music or your likeness to a major corporation could still cost you some cred — which is just one of the reasons why it made headlines when Kiss teamed up with Marvel Comics in 1977.

Of course, we’re talking about a band that wore makeup, adopted over-the-top stage guises, and filled their shows with fireworks and fake blood, which made them more of a natural fit for the comics than, say, the Moody Blues. But Kiss took things one step further by donating a vial of blood from each of the band members and having it mixed with the ink used to print their full-length Marvel debut — a 40-page ‘Super Special’ that included a superhero adventure as well as other assorted photos and behind-the-scenes features.

(It’s worth noting, for hardcore Kiss fans and comics completists, that the band made its first Marvel appearance in the pages of ‘Howard the Duck’ — but nobody’s blood was used to make that, and ‘Howard’ was known for subverting the rules of the Marvel universe anyway.)

The “blood comic” was released to quite a bit of fanfare, and today, copies in good condition can fetch over $200 on the used market — but it was just the beginning of the band’s long comics career, which includes more Marvel appearances as well as an ‘Archie’ crossover and a brand new series that launched this month.

Andy Garcia Was Born With A Conjoined Twin Attached

June 10, 2013 by · Comments Off on Andy Garcia Was Born With A Conjoined Twin Attached

Andy Garcia Was Born With A Conjoined Twin Attached, Andy Garcia was born with a conjoined twin the size of a softball attached to his shoulder. It was surgically removed, and Garcia has no memory of it. His family fled the Castro regime and came to Miami when Garcia was five. They had a difficult time at first, going from successful Cubans to newcomers who barely spoke the language. His father had been a lawyer in his native land, but worked in a warehouse in America.

As a boy, Garcia would go to his father’s warehouse after basketball practice and sweep floors until they went home at about 8 PM every evening. He has fond memories of sitting outside a bar, listening to Cuban musicians when he was too young to go inside. During his senior year in high school, Garcia became very ill with mononucleosis and then with hepatitis. After that, his interests turned from sports to acting.

Garcia met his wife, Marivi, during college and they dated for seven years before marrying in 1982. By that time he had moved to Los Angeles and was working at menial jobs while trying to break into acting. His first TV role was as a gang member on the first episode of Hill Street Blues. In 1985, he was able to stop waiting tables after his breakout role in The Mean Season, playing a detective who is a friend to Kurt Russell’s character. In Eight Million Ways to Die, he played a drug dealer opposite Jeff Bridges, and Brian De Palma was so impressed he sought out Garcia for The Untouchables with Kevin Costner and Sean Connery.

Francis Ford Coppola considered Val Kilmer for the role of Vincent Mancini in The Godfather: Part III, but a studio executive suggested that Garcia would be better. Garcia, though, suspected that a studio recommendation would not carry much weight with Coppola, and contacted Coppola himself. He was invited to Coppola’s winery to read for the part, but the electricity went out as Garcia arrived, and he read his lines by candlelight. He was nominated for an Oscar for the role, and considers Coppola a friend and a mentor.

In Dead Again, Garcia’s character smoked a cigarette through a tracheotomy stoma. In When A Man Loves A Woman, he played the patient husband to Meg Ryan’s lush. Garcia says he knows he chose the right career, because even years after those movies were made, strangers approach him to say his performance motivated them to quit smoking or drinking.

Garcia is well-known in Hollywood circles for his disinterest and disdain for the Hollywood “scene”. His passion remains his family — he says he has never been away from them for more than five days at a time. He is intensely private, brushing off personal questions in interviews and refusing many cover shoots for magazines. Politically, he is against abortion, but does not think it should be a political issue. “I also believe that you can’t impose your beliefs on other people. That’s not the way our Constitution reads.”

He has been a passionate supporter of Cuban musicians, and collaborated on a CD with the musician Israel “Cachao” Lopez. Garcia’s 2003 documentary, Cachao… Como Su Ritmo No Hay Dos, focuses on Lopez. Garcia worked for ten years to get his dream film made, The Lost City, written, directed, produced by and starring Garcia. It is set in Havana, during the Cuban revolution of Garcia’s childhood.

Eminem Was Not Stabbed In NYC

Eminem Was Not Stabbed In NYC, “These things happen all the time. He’s fine,” says Detroit MC’s spokesperson Dear everyone, Eminem is totally fine. You can stop asking Google about his alleged stabbing now. On Wednesday (May 15), a bogus Facebook message made the rounds featuring a photo of a man’s gruesomely knifed back along with the words: “Rapper Eminem left nearly DEAD after being stabbed 4 times in NYC!” As no one will be surprised to find out, the photo isn’t of Slim Shady, and clicking on it will only bring you a world of spam.

As WebProNews points out, the post also claims that said incident was caught on a surveillance camera and offers a link to footage. Of course, it instead offers an onslaught of survey scams and info phishing, not to mention pleas for reshares. The link reportedly takes you to a website that hosts a video player and a faked Facebook comment section plugin. If you hit the play button, you deserve what’s coming to you.

“These happen all the time. He’s fine,” said a publicist for Interscope via e-mail, and he’s right. In fact, The same photo appeared in a 2011 Facebook hoax that alleged Justin Bieber had been stabbed by a “CRAZED” fan outside of a New York nightclub. This isn’t even the first time Eminem’s name has been hijacked for this sort of scam. The Detroit MC was referenced in at least two other social media hoaxes that involved shankings.

In actual Eminem-related news, Chris Rock has pretty much been confirmed his appearance on the man’s forthcoming eighth studio album, which is slated for a post-Memorial Day release. The comic shared a photo of himself in the studio with Em, and when asked about the image during an appearance on Fuse TV earlier this week (via Vibe), Rock simply said, “I can’t really say.” He then added, “I was on the Kanye record,” referencing his cameo on “Blame Game,” a track off Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. “Maybe I’m on the Eminem record,” Rock teased. “You never know.”

Tom Jones Denies Insuring Chest Hair

Tom Jones Denies Insuring Chest Hair, Rumors have been circulating for some time that Tom Jones has his chest hair insured for $7 million. However, the Welsh singer denies it. According to a statement on his website: “No such policy exists or has ever been considered. We assume this is just a bit of fun.”

Apparently that’s the opposite for Jennifer Lopez, as the rumors of her insuring her butt for $27 million are true. I guess if something (but what could really) happened to her behind, she’d be set for life.

People will insure the craziest things. It’s estimated that over 20,000 Americans are insured against alien abduction.

Josh Saviano Paul Pfeiffer, It’s Josh Saviano, Who Played Paul Pfeiffer on The Wonder Years!
Josh Saviano played nerdy Paul Pfeiffer on all six years of The Wonder Years. Josh, who’s now 36 years old, is currently a corporate attorney in NYC, which is kind of funny because in The Wonder Years series finale, we find out his character Paul went on to study law at an Ivy League school. Life really does imitate art!

In a weird twist, rumors surfaced a while back that Paul was played by a young Marilyn Manson.
