Bungie

BungieBungie:Activision, one giant game owned by Activision Blizzard, a big step Thursday with the signing of a franchise agreement to publish the next Halo developer Bungie.

“The scope and ambition of what we are planning is much greater than the scope and ambition of Halo,” said Joseph Staten, Bungie‘s director of design to Wired.com. This statement was aimed at following the announcement on Thursday of a 10-year contract gives exclusive rights of Activision Publishing’s new series of video games that Bungie are creating. “I think we are all eager to go on and go bigger than we have ever gone before,” Staten continued.

This association is formally meant to last 10 years. This means that Activision will own the rights to publish several iterations of the franchise from Bungie next. After getting a great success of the various Halo games, the company has successfully generated more than $ 1.5 billion in sales, this exclusive agreement to publish the next Bungie game series then becomes a win too great for Activision. Activision would be able to beat its competitor, Electronic Arts.

Halo Reach BetaHalo Reach Beta:Halo fans throughout the world are now getting ready for the Halo Beta Reach for the launch. The beta is ready to launch, from what I understood anyway, today (Monday) around 13:00 PST EST/10am.

These times are definitely not in stone, since it is all a lot of information on the time of onset Reach Halo Beta.

However, the beta version of Reach Halo is coming and is expected to consist of two maps – Swordbase and Powerhouse.

According Hovi, Skwordbase is a cover map, multi-level, separated into two parts by a central zone. Powerhouse on the contrary is an outdoor map that focuses on a circular wall in the center of the map. These two maps provide experiences playing in front to give a taste of what’s to come in the full game. The level design in both maps appears well balanced and have not had any hiccups trying to get around.

So come 13:00 AM EST, it will be interesting to see if the reality Reach Halo beta releases. I’m sure there will be no shortage of bloggers update us all on the implementation and I’ll try to keep the updates included in this document.

Let us know if you see the launch of Reach Halo Beta at 1pm.
