Extreme Makeover Home Edition, The hit show ‘Extreme Makeover Home Edition’ that airs on KTXS helps those who have lost or can’t afford a new home.

This has been the worst fire season on record for Texas prompting the pro’s from Extreme Home Makeover to help with the rebuilding.

The blazing Bastrop County fire burned 15- hundred homes down in the area.

A contractor from Abilene is making the trip all the way to Bastrop, Texas to lend a hand with the extreme team.

Charles Nichols from Abilene wanted to be a part of helping those who lost everything in those devastating fires.

“Sometimes in life your called on to do something, to act, to help and you know your capable,” Nichols said.

Nichols is driving 250- miles to pitch in some manual labor. He owns Nichols Contracting and will be hands on with every aspect of the new home.
