Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico, Police recovered a body from a ravine near the Rio Grande on Monday, and authorities are investigating it as a suspicious death.
Authorities were tipped about the body around 7 a.m. Because of the location of the body, the area was secured and the New Mexico State Police Dive Team was called in. The body was successfully recovered around 4 p.m.
The identity of the body and the cause of death are still unknown, but police said it’s considered a suspicious death.
The body will be sent to the the Office of the Medical Investigator for an autopsy.
