Michigan State Police confirmed, Michigan rappers killed in gang-related violence

Michigan State Police investigators announced on Friday that the triple homicide in which three rappers were killed earlier this year in suburban Detroit was the result of gang violence and not related to music, in order to counter false rumors.
The bodies of Armani Kelly, Montoya Givens, and Dante Wicker were discovered on February 2nd in an abandoned apartment building in Highland Park, about 6 miles northwest of Detroit.
The Michigan State Police took to Twitter to clarify that the incident was a gang-related crime, stating, “This was a gang violence related incident” and adding that it had no connection “with music or a performance.” Lorrie Kemp, Armani Kelly’s mother, did not dispute the gang-related explanation, and had previously alleged in February that her son’s time in prison led to gang-related retaliation.
