Larry And Shawn King Call Off Divorce, Larry King and wife Shawn Southwick have officially called off their divorce.
The pair, who filed for divorce in April amid rumors of infidelity (he with her sister, Shannon Engemann, she with the kids’ baseball coach Hector Penate), appeared to reconcile shortly thereafter and have now filed to dismiss their divorce papers, according to TMZ.
King, who is stepping down from CNN’s “Larry King Live” after 25 years, said in his announcement that he looks forward to spending more time with his wife and their two sons.
Shawn overdosed on prescription drugs last month in Utah in what may have been a suicide attempt — according to the AP, she left at least two notes, one indicating that she took the pills intentionally and another expressing her desire to be buried in Utah.
