Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday, Giving Tuesday is a movement to create a national day of giving to kick off the giving season added to the calendar on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, according to a news release.

The second annual Giving Tuesday is Dec. 3.

Partners are asked to create and commit to a project for/on #GivingTuesday and then help spread the word to their networks. Giving Tuesday celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support non-profit organizations.

The Salvation Army of Kent County will be matching local Red Kettle donations up to $10,000, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at nearly 70 Red Kettle locations throughout Kent County.
