Winter Ave Zoli, An American of Slovak origin, Zoli was born in New Hope, Pennsylvania. At age 11 she moved with her family in Prague, Czech Republic, where she was able to fully plant her roots of Czech side of her father in the family. She attended middle school and high school at the International School of Prague. She studied ballet, but after developing a love for the stage and the craft of acting, she moved the musical theater.

She started working professionally at 13 and developed her acting resume on the possibilities of European and American productions were by Prague. At 17, she attended summer school at Carnegie-Mellon’s theater program and, at age 19, enrolled at the Atlantic Theater Company acting school in New York, founded by playwright David Mamet and actor William H. Macy.

Winter Ave Zoli, best known for playing prn star Lyla on the FX biker-gang hit “Sons of Anarchy,” has made a career playing X-rated actresses, prostitutes, and many other bad girls.

Zoli but insists that away from the lights and the camera, she is as gentle and wise as we can.

“It is like a running joke in [my] family. I’m nothing like that in real life,” Zoli said the March issue of Play boy magazine (on newsstands and online on Friday) in which it appears on the cover and illustrated in a nde.
