WGRZ, (WGRZ) – Buffalo Police have released the names of the victims of the accident Saturday morning on Highway 33.  37-year-old Orlando Anderson of Buffalo and his passenger, Thomas Johnson, of Ohio, were killed in the accident that investigators believe was caused by a wrong way driver. The driver of the vehicle collided with Anderson at about half past four in the westbound lanes of 33 between Utica and Best Street exit.

Buffalo police spokesman Michael DeGeorge says the person of the other vehicle, 24-year-old Matthew Ruckdaschel of Getzville, was taken to ECMC and is in critical condition. Charges are pending against him.

According DeGeorge, investigators trying to determine if alcohol played a role in the incident, if the investigation is still preliminary. / usspost.com /
A Buffalo police officer was sent to ECMC to evaluate this afternoon after being struck by another vehicle while it was parked.

The incident began around Bidwell and Elmwood Avenues where a Jeep Cherokee driven by 24 years Lancaster Cameron Spivey struck two parked cars and a lamppost. The driver went to the eastbound 198 to the output of Delaware Avenue, where he hit the parked police car.

Spivey was taken to ECMC for treatment, and was charged with impaired driving, leaving the scene of an accident and other charges related to his release.
No serious injuries were reported.
