Reebok Tebow Jersey

Reebok Tebow Jersey, Jets quarterback Tim Tebow already has been introduced to fans, but they’ll have to wait until Tuesday to meet his official NFL jersey.

U.S. District Judge Kevin Castel granted Nike Inc. a temporary restraining order late Wednesday, finding “sufficient reason” for him to block sales of Tebow merchandise created by Reebok International Ltd. after March 1.

Nike has a five-year deal to be the NFL’s exclusive provider of on-field apparel, including game uniforms and sideline apparel.

Officials maintained in a lawsuit that Reebok rushed to market with Tebow apparel to take advantage of a “unique and short-lived opportunity.”

Nike officials said Reebok was required to get Tebow’s permission if it intended to hurry out shipments of Jets-Tebow apparel after he was traded last week from the Broncos to the Jets.

Reebok’s 10-year NFL licensing deal ends this month.

Castel banned Reebok from selling any apparel with the name “Tebow” on it unless it was made by March 1, while he was still with the Broncos.

He set a hearing in the case for Wednesday.

Reebok spokesman Daniel Sarro said Reebok was preparing evidence to “argue our position necessary to refute Nike’s contentions.

Tebow Jersey Recall

Tebow Jersey Recall, Nike Inc., the world’s biggest sporting-goods company, won a judge’s order temporarily blocking Adidas AG’s Reebok International from using quarterback Tim Tebow’s name on New York Jets-related clothing.

U.S. District Judge Kevin Castel in Manhattan yesterday granted Nike’s request for a temporary restraining order, a day after the Beaverton, Oregon-based company filed a lawsuit. Reebok’s licensing agreement with the National Football League ends March 31 and Nike is to become the official supplier of licensed NFL apparel.

Castel blocked Reebok from manufacturing, selling or otherwise marketing New York Jets-related apparel with the name Tebow on it. The order doesn’t apply to Denver Broncos-related apparel with Tebow’s name. Reebok must recall unauthorized Tebow products, the judge ruled.

In the lawsuit, Nike claimed it, not Reebok, has rights to use Tebow’s name. The judge scheduled a hearing for April 4 in Manhattan federal court.
