Taylor Lautner HoaxTaylor Lautner Hoax, Twilight star Taylor Lautner is heterosexual (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but somebody decided it would be a good joke to “out” him as gay on the cover of People mag.

So a mock cover of the mag turned up on the interwebs on Boxing Day. It’s 100 per cent fake, say the people at People. So far, nobody has admitted responsibility.

But, as happens these days, this bogus “story” was picked up, hastily rewritten and posted on about 80 kajillion websites within minutes.

It looks real: “Out & proud,” says the headline. “Tired of rumours, the Twilight star opens up about his decision to finally come out. ‘I’m more liberated, and happier than I’ve ever been.’ ”

Lautner, 19, has been linked romantically with Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez, although both attachments may have been PR inventions.

The explanation, on her website: “Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband’s life. And also by a bit of a wild ride I took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don’t drink.”

“Kybosh” is, I gather, Irish slang for “scuttle” or “doom.”

Katy Perry and Russell Brand took a private plane to Hawaii to spend Christmas at a luxury villa they rented for the occasion, on the island of Kauai.

An unnamed informant told People mag that “Katy and Russell looked very happy” when they arrived on Kauai before the holiday weekend.

Gee, I wonder why. A private plane to a luxury villa in Hawaii –

Actors just should not endorse politicians, or even hang around with them, says Daniel Craig. Well, except George Clooney.

Men’s Journal interviewed Craig and the topic came up.

“You immediately are aligning yourself with a political party. Politicians are (rude word)heads. That’s how they become politicians, even the good ones. – They’ll turn around and stab you in the (bad word) back.”
