When is Mothers Day 2011

When is Mothers Day 2011, For three hours I have sat through the Oscars, you can not check if you have any lipstick on the left, with the time getting closer, closer. Who will receive the golden statuette for Best Director? A cameraman is crouched by each of the five nominees, their faces fixed lenses. If someone leaves his or her seat during the brief announcement breaks a ‘sitter’ dressed RA slides into the seat vacated. No interruptions may appear on television screens. Tom is always moving around, but at the last moment facilitates inches kickoffipaddress

Then it happens. The envelope is opened, they called it. Tom pulled his feet like a racehorse out of the gate. And – in the midst of their joy and excitement – takes time from his acceptance speech for 60 seconds to tell how I found the script of the speech of the King as a work is not executed, and suggested it as a movie. He dedicated his Oscar to me.

“The moral of the story is,” he says half a billion people, “listen to your mother.” In the virtual world, unknown to us, Tom’s speech is triggering a massive wave. It has clearly touched a nerve.

In the United States know me simply as “Tom’s mom, but I’m happy with it. Being a mother of Tom is fun and an honor, but also curious. I am immensely happy for him, of course. But people assume I’m proud, and I think that a hard word. Tom’s success is his and his talent is all yours.

I’ve never been interested in celebrity myself, that should keep me company resting on awards ceremonies, because many people do not recognize. But I understand that people want to play the fame. It gives them pleasure.

Here’s another of the many touching mothers day poems that siblings can add to a card together or read to their mother on Mother’s Day. Really touching!

You Were There…

You were there when we took our first steps,
And went unsteadily across the floor.
You pushed and prodded: encouraged and guided,
Until our steps took us out the door…

You worry now “Are they ok?”
Is there more you could have done?
As we walk the paths of our unknown
You wonder”Where have my children gone?”

Where we are is where you have led us,
With your special love you showed us a way,
To believe in ourselves and the decisions we make.
Taking on the challenge of life day-to-day.

And where we go you can be sure,
In spirit you shall never be alone.
For where you are is what matters most to us,
Because to us that will always be home…

Mothers Day Poems:

When I was a small child.
you held my hand and smiled.
When I got hurt I would cry.
you would giggle and dry my eye.
life has difficult decisions and you were my guide.
you taught me how to decide.
you told me that the bad should be denied.
and that family should never be put aside.
when I was a small child.
I was a little wild.
as I grew I’ve done a few wrong things and it’s true.
there’s a lot of things I’ve wanted to tell you.
and when we have problems we always make it through.
but one thing that I want you to know is that
I LOVE YOU.

Happiness is like a sunny day:
All one’s bitterness is drowned in light.
Praise be the light, though it must pass away,
Perhaps because compassion needs the night.
Yet when one feels like swallowing barbed wire,
More or less does nothing for the pain.
Old memories return as if on fire,
Tormenting one with unforgiving shame.
How can I, who love you, come inside,
Each wound to bind up with an ointment rare,
Restoring the once effervescent bride
‘Neath misery no happiness can spare?
So shall I sing to you of all life’s beauty,
Doing through the night my daytime duty.
A song of love may not bring back your noon,
Yet in your darkness, let me be your moon.
