Mega Millions Winning Numbers, A mere six weeks ago in February, Louisa White of Rhode Island won a Powerball lottery jackpot worth $336.4 million. She claimed a lump sum payout of $210 million.

A once in a lifetime opportunity for White? Most likely. But some lucky Mega Millions lottery player has an opportunity to earn even more, like the largest cash option payout in lottery history in the drawing of March 27.

Philly.com reports that the jackpot for the next Mega Millions lottery on Tuesday is an estimated $363 million, and the lump sum payout will be $259.8 million, beating the record of $240 million from January 4, 2011. A Mega Millions pot of $380 million was won by two tickets in that drawing.

The Mega Millions website reported that the winning numbers for the drawing of March 23 drawing were: 6,17,19, 20, and 21, and the Mega Ball was 20.

According to Lottery Post, 39 players matched the first five numbers without getting the Mega Ball, and three of them were from New Jersey. Each of those players will receive $250,000. Friday marked the 17th consecutive Mega Millions jackpot drawing without a winner.

Lottery Post pointed out that one of the reasons for the latest rollover may have been that the Mega Ball number matched one of the first five numbers. The Mega Ball is drawn from a separate pool of numbers and it is within the game’s rules for it to match, but casual players may not be aware of that.

Did Anyone Win The Mega Millions Jackpot, The Mega Millions jackpot hit for the price of second largest in the history of the lottery, behind the pot and 390 million in March.

The award is the fourth in the history of the United States and second in the history of Mega Millions, said Lottery spokeswoman Cindy Esquer of Arizona. Raffle prizes of $ 390 million in March 2007 and remains the richest nation on record.

“We have a pretty good flow of traffic since the purchase of tickets going,” said Bill Evans, owner of Beaver Dam Service Station northwestern Arizona. “As the day progresses, we will a line at the door, I’m sure.”

Hundreds of people took to the tiny towns of Arizona Littlefield and Beaver Dam, passing through the state of Nevada and Utah, where Mega Millions tickets are not sold.

Rosie at Cafe on U.S. 93 north of Kingman near the Nevada line, hundreds of leads in the weekend to buy tickets for Mega Millions and the game was probably a rehearsal Tuesday because of the new bypass dam Hoover, which opened in October and easy travel across the state line of Nevada and Arizona.

“The line was out the door,” with 500 or more online at times on Saturday and Sunday, said a waitress and cashier Christine Millim.

Mega Millions is the game similar to Powerball – players try to win by matching five numbers and the “Mega Ball.” Tickets are $ 1.

Larry White, who bought a ticket to Atlanta, said he would use the money to help his family if he said the price several million dollars.

“I’ll take care of my family – to buy new houses, new cars and travel a bit,” he said.

Others said they would use the money to start foundations, retirement or vacation.

Sheila Twine in Atlanta said she would pay her and her daughter bills and help people in need.

“With all this money, I could help many people,” she said.

The cash option jackpot amounts to about 224 million. Besides the jackpot, prices range from $ 2 to $ 250,000.

The game expanded last year under an agreement with cross-selling Powerball to become available in 41 states and Washington, DC
