Marilyn Monroe Photos, A collection of never-before-seen photos of Marilyn Monroe, and their accompanying copyrights, are going up for auction. Celebrity auctioneer Darren Julien says more than 100 images of Monroe will be sold the highest bidders later this month.

The photos come from the estate of Allan ”Whitey” Snyder, Monroe’s personal makeup artist for 15 years. One image shows Snyder applying makeup to a lingerie-wearing Monroe on the set of ”Let’s Make Love” in 1960.

Letters, telegrams and a money clip from Monroe to Snyder are also among the lots set to be sold during Julien’s Auctions’ Hollywood Legends sale on March 31 and April 1. The auction also includes memorabilia from Frank Sinatra, James Dean, Charlie Chaplin and Sammy Davis, Jr.

Marilyn Monroe, “My Week with Marilyn,” starring Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams as a sex symbol Marilyn Monroe, 1950, will see its world premiere at the Film Festival in New York in October, organizers said Thursday.

Directed by Simon Curtis, the film is based on a week that the writer Colin Clark worked as an assistant with Monroe while she was filming “The Prince and the Showgirl” in the UK in early summer 1956.

Monroe’s film appears to be working with Sir Laurence Olivier and was shot when Monroe was honeymooning with her husband, playwright Arthur Miller. When he left England, Clark was assigned to Monroe to introduce British life.

“My Week with Marilyn” is based on Clark kept a diary, extracts of which were published in two books in 1995 and 2000. Along with Williams, the film also stars Kenneth Branagh and Olivier, Dougray Scott as Miller and Judi Dench.

“After watching Marilyn Monroe often portrayed in movies as a caricature, is a pleasure to see this complex personality and unique presence on the screen so well portrayed by an actress as talented as Michelle Williams,” said Richard Pena, director of program of the Film Society of Lincoln Center, which supports the festival.

The film, which tries to compete in Hollywood’s Oscar race, this next season, will have its premiere at New York Film Festival on October 9 and will be released in theaters on November 4.

Williams has been nominated twice for an Oscar for her work in “Brokeback Mountain” and “Blue Valentine”, but he has to honor the world’s top film.

The New York Film Festival, which takes place through September30 October 16, will also feature a special screening of the digitally restored version of William Wyler’s “Ben-Hur.” Also celebrating the 100th anniversary of Japan’s Nikkatsu films with screenings of many of the films of the studies, including Kon Ickhkawaa “The Burmese Harp” and Masahiro Makinoa of “Love Birds Sing.”
