Sales of the opening day of the show were “average,” he said. It expects sales to increase later in the week as the crowds gather.

Being present at trade fairs attended by sometimes-store sales so people are aware of his business, he said.

“We find people who do not even know you had a business downtown,” said Spencley.

The Spencleys often go from fair to fair in conjunction with Harold and Katie Grubbs Adriano, selling jewelry, blankets, hats and bags. They are next to each other in the Lenawee County Fair.

“Usually, people come, they come to buy something,” said Harold Grubbs fair circuit.

David Grubbs and Harold Spencley are former employees of the plant is now closed Adrian Dura Convertible Systems.
