Kim Kardashian Haiti, Kim Kardashian definitely needed a photo opportunity, but not like this. Her humanitarian trip to Haiti has caused an uproar, forcing her to respond with a personal statement on her Web site.

No sooner had she returned from the grueling mission to the earthquake ravaged country, than reports surfaced that she basically phoned in her visit from a luxury hotel suite in the nation’s capital.

Critics claimed she rode around the country in a chauffeured convoy heavy with security guards like she was Pappa Doc, the country’s former iron-fist dictator.

What’s more, Oprah Winfrey is reportedly incensed that Kim’s trip upstaged her own visit to Haiti.

TheImproper reported Dec. 13 that Oprah traveled to Haiti with actor Sean Penn to view the island’s recovery from the devastating 2010 earthquake.

It seemed like Oprah, flanked with her own security detail, was getting all the press, but The National Enquirer reports that the talk show queen “is livid” that Kim’s visit upstaged her.
