Rutgers Football, The elementary and middle schools, youth sports leagues and nonprofit organizations are eligible for the program, which allows school children to attend games such as season opener against Rutgers FIU free. The FIU vs Rutgers football game will be held at 8 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at FIU Stadium in Modesto A. Maidique Campus, 11200 SW 8th Street in western Miami-Dade.
“FIU is committed to introducing children to the college experience through sport,” said FIU athletic director Pete Garcia. “This is another way to FIU athletics to get involved with the community of South Florida.”
Any group interested in obtaining tickets should call Liz Augustine, assistant athletics director for student athlete development and community relations at 305-348-0154 or email borrelll@fiu.edu Children community partners Club tickets are available for all five home games.
