Jean And Scott Adam, Best wishes to John and Adam Scott who were captured by pirates in Somalia on Friday in the Arabian Sea. Also on board were Bob and Phyllis Macay Riggle Seattle, Washington. Interviewed Adam Scott several years ago for PC Laptop Magazine for a story about how he used the GPS on his yacht. I also helped John Adam learn to use computers. It was interesting to see how many errors were reported on Adams, not a couple of Orange County. They both lived in the Venice / Marina Del Rey until they pass the Quest SV, they Wharf Marina Del Rey in the city.
(UKPA) – Four American hostages taken on a yacht by pirates off Somalia have been killed, the U.S. military said. Negotiations were underway to secure the release of two couples on the boat pirates Quest. Gunshots were heard. When American forces reached the yacht, they found the four hostages were killed, said U.S. Central Command.
The quest has been the home of John and Adam Scott, a California couple, who had been sailing around the world since December 2004.
The other two people on board were Bob and Phyllis Macay Riggle both of Seattle, Washington.
Central Command said that negotiations were ongoing to try to win their release.
“We express our deepest condolences for the loss of innocent life mercilessly aboard the Quest,” said General James Mattis N.
Two attackers died during surgery, and 13 were captured and detained.
The remains of two other pirates who were already dead were also observed. In total, the U.S. said that 19 pirates were involved in the hijacking of the Quest.
