Winn Dixie, All Winn-Dixie stores in the Tampa Bay area will be closed 19 hours before Christmas, the chain announced today. Everything will be open 8:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Day, but pharmacies will Closed.The Company said all stores follow the normal hours of operation for New Year’s Eve and New Year.
7-Eleven said it sold more stuff on December 25 than on other days of the year. “The lights red, green and orange shine of 7-Eleven sign as a beacon for many – yes, most men” – the day of Christmas, the convenience store chain said in an e-mail posing as a stop shopping place for the holiday procrastinator. Food, beverages, gift cards, video games, paperbacks, lottery tickets – all 7-Eleven. The retailer also offers something new this year’s limited edition Christmas boxes, shaped somewhat Slurpees, gift wrap your gift card.
AdvertisementWinn-Dixie opened part of its supermarkets last year on Christmas Day this year, each will be open from 8:00 to 3:00 Shoppers can buy food, wine, floral arrangements and a variety gift cards for retailers and restaurants. But the grocery chain has dropped the generic gift card, it offered last year that the recipients can then redeem for a merchant of their choice.
CVS and Walgreens are open on Christmas Day. Chain pharmacies sell a variety of other things that can be given as gifts, including games, CDs, cosmetics and comforters unbiquitous.
