The Hop Farm Music Festival 2014: Grace Jones, Grace Jones has been announced as headliner for the Hop Farm Festival

POP icon Grace Jones has been announced as the Sunday headliner at this summer’s Hop Farm Festival in Paddock Wood.

The Jamaican actress and singer had a string of hits in the 70s and 80s including Slave to the Rhythm and I Need a Man.

The 65-year-old will be closing the festival, which will also see the likes of Ray Davies, Brian Wilson of Beach Boys fame, James Blunt and Squeeze performing.

Hop Farm Music Festival’s Neil Butkeraitis said: “We’re really excited to announce world superstar Grace Jones as our exclusive Sunday night headliner, completing the line-up for this year’s Hop Farm Music Festival.

“Alongside Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson and Ray Davies, our headliners represent some of the greatest timeless pop ever produced.

“And with a packed line up of classic old favourites and great new bands, as well as lots of new attractions on site, we’re set to take Hop Farm to new heights in 2014.”

Grace Jones is renowned for her striking looks and outlandish sense of style. He live-show is described as an “unforgettable spectacle of sight and sound”.

The festival, being held from July 4 to 6, will also have a Jazz & Blues Lounge and a Comedy Big Top featuring clowns and Jo Brand. There will also be a Kidz Zone and Silent Disco, as well as themed bars and gourmet food on offer.
