Terri Irwin Reveals If She’s Considered Marrying Again, When beloved wildlife expert and TV personality Steve Irwin was killed in 2006, he left behind his loving wife Terri Irwin and his two adoring children, Bindi and Robert. It’s been nine years since his death and it’s clear his family is as devoted, strong and loving as ever.

As 17-year-old Bindi competes on this season of Dancing With the Stars, her mother Terri, 51, and 11-year-old brother are staying in L.A. to show their support. ET’s Cameron Mathison caught up with the family during DWTS rehearsal, where Terri shared her sweet memories of her late husband, and how she doesn’t have an interest in finding a new partner.

“I think I’ve had my happily ever after,” Terri said, smiling. “I still feel immense love and loyalty to Steve. And I’ve got great kids, I’ve got a very full life, and while I’m lonely for Steve, I’m not a lonely person.”

Terri meet Steve in 1991 and the two fell quickly in love. The couple tied the knot in June 1992 after dating for eight months, and they filmed the pilot episode of their popular nature docu-series The Crocodile Hunter on their honeymoon. They went on to co-star on the show for five years.

“I think if I hadn’t met Steve I probably would have never married. So that’s how unique our relationship was,” Terri shared. “And I think for other people who have lost someone and have loved again, it’s a beautiful thing but it’s just not really on my horizon.”

Standing close with her young children, Terri gave an insight into how the family has remained hopeful, strong and close even in the face of their personal tragedy. For the Irwins, it’s all about being open about their feelings.
