LIRR, LIRR trains are delayed travelers in New York, with delays on all lines.
A low-speed derailment at 10:30 pm today, inside Penn Station, has caused headaches.
About 300 passengers were asked to board the train and wait at the station. No casualties were reported
Train LIRR (Long Island Railroad) are the oldest trains in the country. CBS New York suggests that the aging infrastructure may delay the return to service.
NJ Transit is advising passengers that the wait between trains can be as much as 30 minutes.
There is no estimate for full restoration service is available at this time.
Amtrak and Metro-North Railroad have coordinated a railway bridge between the Grand Central Terminal in New York and the Croton Harmon station, with alternative bus transportation is also available between Grand Central and Penn Station in New York.

Nj Transit | USsPost.com:Here’s an update for all those traveling by train:
Amtrak and NJ Transit trains are moving again, but expect 45-minute delays from an overhead wire problem earlier this morning.
Trains along the Northeast Corridor, Midtown Direct and North Jersey Coast Line were effected earlier when a NJ Transit train hit an overhead wire in the south tunnel in Manhattan.
That caused delays for Amtrak trains along the Northeast Corridor. It also slowed NJ Transit service on the Northeast Corridor, Midtown Direct and North Jersey Coast Line.
