Harris Hefner Dumped By Fiancee In June, Play boy founder Hugh Hefner said his wedding this weekend has been cancelled because his 25-year-old fiancee, a Playmate from his magazine, changed her mind.

Hefner, 85, and Crystal Harris were due to tie the knot in front of more than 300 guests at the Play boy Mansion in Los Angeles on Saturday. It would have been Hefner’s third marriage.

“The wedding is off. Crystal has had a change of heart,” Hefner wrote on Twitter.

News of the split was first reported by TMZ, which said the couple had “a nasty argument” on the phone over the weekend and Harris moved out of the mansion.

Hefner proposed to Harris on Christmas Eve, he announced on Twitter at the time. Since then Hefner has been planning the nuptials in between serving as hands-on editor of Play boy and entertaining family and friends at movie screenings and backgammon games.

A two-hour special featuring wedding highlights was due to air July 13 on the women’s cable channel Lifetime.

Hefner was divorced from his second wife, Kimberley Conrad, in 2010 after a lengthy separation. His first marriage to Mildred Williams ended in divorce in 1959. He has two children from each marriage.

Hefner, known around the world by his nickname, Hef, has championed sexual freedom and civil rights, published stories challenging McCarthyism and the Vietnam War, and backed gay causes and the legalisation of marijuana.

With a cover featuring a calendar photo of Marilyn Monroe, Hefner put together the first issue of Play boy on the kitchen table in his Chicago apartment in 1953 at a cost of $US600. It sold 51,000 copies – enough to finance a second issue – and led to a multimillion dollar international corporation, which Hefner recently took private.

Raised in San Diego by British parents, Harris met Hefner at his annual Halloween party in 2008.

She moved in to the mansion after a few weeks and became Play boy’s Playmate of the Month in December 2009. She will be on the cover of the magazine’s upcoming July issue.

Crystal Harris Play boy Photos, (AFP) – In a Christmas message on Twitter, 84, Play boy mogul Hugh Hefner said Sunday it had proposed to girlfriend Crystal Harris, a former Playmate of 60 months his junior year.

“When I gave the ring crystal, she burst into tears. This is the best weekend in memory of Christmas,” tweeted Hefner.

Hefner sent a second message on Sunday to dispel any lingering doubts about its intentions.

“Yes, the ring I gave Crystal is an engagement ring. I did not make a mystery out of it. A very Merry Christmas to all,” he said.

Harris, a beautiful 24-year-old blonde, did not explicitly confirm that it had accepted his proposal, but on Christmas Eve, encouragingly, retweeted messages.

If marriage is sweating, Harris became the third wife of an ageless Don Juan who used a whiff of sex and his own suave mystique to create the world of Play boy consume over the last six decades.

Known for his trademark tuxedo jacket, red satin and black silk pajamas, “Hef” as he is commonly known, embodies the libertine lifestyle he popularized in another era.

Apparently intended to convey the message of hedonistic pleasure upscale to a new generation, Hefner has not only survived the sexual revolution that he fought in the forefront, but also some of his famous pin-ups.

It boasts the costumes, the troupe of blondes, open a respect for the wonders of Viagra and of course the famous Play boy Mansion, which became the seat of retention of anachronistic 1960’s swing.

The father of four children has a lot of responsibility for sparking the sexual revolution that has allowed Western society to embrace sex as usual and fun while shrugging his shoulders the yoke prudish 1950s.

The Chicago native Hefner created Play boy magazine in 1953 and remains its chief creativity. Harris emerged as the Bumble in December 2009 when she was Playmate of the month.

Hefner admitted during the years of business with dozens of Play mate and enjoyed the company of blondes with no end to his old decadent mansion in Holmby Hills of Los Angeles.

Hefner and Harris has been a member since April.

The Play boy founder first marriage at 23 Mildred Williams, a student at Northwestern University in Illinois, where he briefly studied women and gender issues.

Hefner’s second wife was Playmate of the Year Kimberly Conrad. He has two children from each marriage.

This would be the third marriage for the 84-year-old, star of E! Reality series “The Girls Next Door,” which chronicles Hefner’s life at the Play boy Mansion. He divorced Playmate Kimberly Conrad last year.
