Subway Employee Robbery Soup

October 29, 2012 by

Subway Employee Robbery Soup, Sometimes it’s not about being particularly strong or skilled with self-defense techniques, it’s just about using the materials at hand to protect yourself. If you’ve got some hot soup around to fight off a would-be robber, well, that works a lot better than plenty of other foodstuffs. A Subway sandwich worker had to improvise when facing a masked man and managed to pull off a successful defense.

A man in a ghost mask confronted a female worker on Friday night as she was leaving the Subway, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. He forced her back inside the store in his attempt to rob it. Luckily, her coworker was a quick thinker.

“He pushed her down to the floor and kept yelling to open the register,” the police chief said. “A male employee threw a pot of soup at the suspect and they scuffled until [the robber] ran out to a black compact car.”

No one was injured but the woman was shaken up enough by the experience to head to the hospital.
