Students Yearbook Photos

Students Yearbook Photos, Girls at a Utah high school were upset to see some yearbook photos were altered without their knowledge.

Some students also said they were upset because the decision to make alterations wasn’t consistent.

“I feel like they put names in a hat and pick and choose who. There were plenty of girls that were wearing thicker tank tops and half of them got edited and half of them didn’t,” sophomore Rachel Russel said.

For instance, two girls wore nearly identical tops, but sleeves added were added to only one photo.

School officials say students knew the dress code and that there was a sign letting them know their pictures might be altered.

Wasatch County School District Superintendent Terry E. Shoemaker said, “We only apologize in the sense that we want to be more consistent with what we’re trying to do in that sense we can help kids better prepare for their future by knowing how to dress appropriately for things.”
