Tucker Carlson Leaves Fox News: Monday morning brought some shocking news to cable news viewers. Tucker Carlson, a popular and influential personality on Fox News, has “agreed to part ways” with the network. At the same time, Don Lemon, a host on “CNN This Morning,” announced that he had been fired.
While Lemon’s exit is surprising, Carlson’s departure is particularly stunning given his status as a ratings magnet. However, Carlson was also a central figure in Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox News. As the trial approached, it was revealed that Carlson and other Fox News personalities had made false claims about the 2020 election on air that Carlson himself did not believe.
