Shadwell:BMS is delighted to host our first annual Holiday Concert at Hennessy’s to benefit the Toys For Tots Foundation of Greater Boston on Thursday, December 3. Each day this week, we’ll catch up with of the performing bands to get their thoughts on the holidays: everything from gifts to carols and egg nog. Besides asking what to expect from their set on Thursday, we get their opinion on the age old question of who wins in a fight: Santa Clause or Frosty the Snowman.

Today, we catch up with Aaron Shadwell of Shadwell, winners of the 2009 Boston Music Spotlight Battle of the Bands. Here’s what he had to say:

Boston Music Spotlight (BMS): When do you start shopping for presents?

Aaron Shadwell of Shadwell (AS): A few days before Christmas.

BMS: Egg Nog: delicious or disgusting?

AS: I love it!

BMS: Who would win in a fight – Santa Claus or Frosty the Snowman?

AS: Frosty would pop a cap in that ass!

BMS: Christmas Carols: A great way to get into the season or annoying background noise while shopping?

AS: I love holiday songs…David Bowie once did a holiday special with Bing Crosby, it was cool…

BMS: What are you hoping Santa brings you this year?

AS: Tour, Van and a song on a TV show.

BMS: What can we expect from your set on Thursday?

AS: Well, Some new songs we are just now finishing the mixes for our new record.
