Road Conditions North Carolina, The roads caused problems for people like Tom Shuman, who travels from Tennessee to North Carolina this Christmas.
“It was uneven in some places on the bottom in Kentucky and what is not, a little freezing rain, but mostly we had a pretty good trip up.”
Christine Drake said she also had some problems.
“It was really hard to Chicago to Indianapolis,” she said. “The left lane was really bad, had to stay in the right lane.”
However, both drivers said West Virginia has done a good job of keeping the roads clear.
“Just wet,” said Drake. “They were great, we were so happy.”
“They were good,” said Shuman. “Since we’ve reached the state line they are smooth as a whistle. They do a good job there.”
The Drakes are heading from Wisconsin to North Carolina, and said they had a near collision during a trip through the night.
“The guy before me wanted to stop and my car did not,” she said. “I ran away to the right, thank you God; it was an exit to the rest area, so I handed him the way out of the rest area, then back on.”
Snow and ice are not the only thing missing from West Virginia roads today, drivers said there is also a lack of cars.
“What traffic there was no traffic is very light,” said the husband Kevin Drake’s.
“It was not too bad, you know, I think everybody is sort of taking the time and there is traffic is not as bad today as I think it was Earlier this week, “said Shuman.
