Reese Witherspoon ‘Too Old’

April 17, 2013 by

Reese Witherspoon ‘Too Old’, Rumours have been swirling since 2007 that a Stevie Nicks biopic is in the works — at one point attaching Lindsay Lohan to the leading role, and later Hilary Duff. Nicks has long denied the claims, at one point saying a film starring Lohan would be made “over my dead body.”

In the past few years the 64-year-old rocker has warmed up to the idea of making a film based on her early life and voiced her preference for who will play her: Reese Witherspoon. She said such in her new documentary “In Your Dreams,” which chronicles the making of her 2011 album of the same name.

But now that Nicks and the 37-year-old actress have had more time to think about it, both seem to agree Witherspoon is a tad too long in the tooth to take on the part. “I’ve already told [Reese] she’s almost too old,” the former Fleetwood Mac singer told ET Canada at the Toronto premiere of her documentary.

“I love her, but she’s like, ‘I could play your mother.’ I’m like ‘O.K.,'” Nicks said, indicating Witherspoon is far from offended by the decision.

Still in the concept phase, the biographical film is, as of now, a proverbial figment of Nicks’ imagination.
