Pocketbook Monologues
September 25, 2009 by USA Post
Pocketbook Monologues, Big Poppa’s back! Well, sort of. We get to hear his name over and over again in tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta called “Precious Pocketbook,” of course courtesy of Kim. For the sake of those who haven’t been following this Bravo docu-drama since the first season 1, Big Poppa is Kim’s mystery man, who has funded her somewhat lavish lifestyle, buying her $14,000 in diamonds and a $60,000 Cadillac Escalade. They broke up in the last episode of season one.
But it really looks like Big Poppa’s back and so are Kim’s never-ending stories about him. Kim tells her friend Cori how he whisked her away to the Bahamas, played with her kids, and treated her to a nice dinner. While she’s obviously smitten, Kim is still at a loss about his future with him, considering he’s a married man.
Meanwhile, Lisa and Kandi appear in the charity performance of “Pocketbook Monologues,” where Kandi’s emotional performance wins over the crowd – and Dwight.
Now for the best part, NeNe meets with the co-writer of her forthcoming memoir while Sheree finally throws her long awaited Independence Party where NeNe confronts Kim and Kandi about recording “Tardy for the Party” without her. I can just imagine the claws coming out!
On a side note, I think that NeNe’s better off not being included in “Tardy for the Party” considering all the off-screen controversy involving a lawsuit. As reported recently, Kim is being sued by her music producer, causing her to take her song off of iTunes on Monday afternoon.
“This producer Don Vito is suing her for not paying him so she doesn’t have the rights,” a source told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
