Pharrell Williams Happy Video

November 23, 2013 by

Pharrell Williams Happy Video, Pharrell has just debuted the world’s first 24 hour music video for his single Happy.

Not only does the video go on for a full day and night, but it’s also interactive.

On the website for the clip, viewers can fast-forward to any time of the day via a clock face to see hundreds of different people dancing and lip-synching to the catchy song.

There is also the option to click a ‘P’ button, which will skip you forward to the next time Pharrell appears in the video.

Pharrell, much like the anonymous people, strolls around and pulls shapes all over Los Angeles, at one point even doing a robot dance.

The 40-year-old appears regularly throughout the music video, and there are also celebrity cameos.

Steve Carrell, Jimmy Kimmel, Jamie Foxx, Kelly Osbourne, Magic Johnson and Tyler the Creator are all amongst the stars showing off their dance moves.

Jimmy can be seen entering his television studios on the Walk Of Fame and wandering around while snapping his fingers and miming certain bits of the song.

Jamie strolls along some train tracks with his two daughters, while Steve parties with strangers on a school bus.

Meanwhile Kelly shows her playful side as she rocks out along Hollywood Boulevard in the early hours of the morning, wearing sky high heels.

The song features on the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, so there are some portions of the video in which viewers can see minions from the movie joining in the fun.

But it is arguably the everyday people who make the clip so brilliant, as they dance energetically down various streets, without an inhibition in sight.

Happy plays on a loop in the background, and is the perfect song to be heard again and again thanks to its upbeat melody and sunny lyrics.

For the most part, the sections of the video are filmed outside and it seems the timings are accurate.

The sun rises and sets during the course of the clip but even when all you can see is a silhouette at 4am, its stars continue to dance.

Viewers have the option to share moments from the video, called 24 Hours Of Happy, on their social networking sites and even comment on portions of it.
