Pet ‘Deadly Diets’

Pet ‘Deadly Diets’, Shocking pictures have been released showing pets who are massively overweight and facing problems of arthritis, diabetes and heart disease.
The photos, released by the charity PDSA show the effects of animals being fed a life-threatening mix of high calorie diets.
The organisation is warning that more than 18 million pets are at risk of a miserable life and an early grave because of what their owners are feeding them.
Regular treats include crisps, cakes and even takeaways.
Senior Veterinary Surgeon Elaine Pendlebury said: “Vet practices across the UK see the consequences of pet obesity every single day such as obese dogs unable to enjoy regular walks due to exhaustion, fat cats that can’t jump or play, and rabbits so hopelessly overweight they can’t clean themselves properly.
“And then there are other obesity-related health conditions which can mean pets don’t lead the long and happy lives they should,” she added.
