Perito Moreno Glacier

Perito Moreno Glacier, Where is it?
In Los Glaciares National Park, one of the key visitor destinations in Argentine Patagonia, in the south of the country.

What makes it so special?
This is spectacular scenery, even by Patagonian standards, and is easily combined with other Andean highlights such as the Torres del Paine National Park.

Did you know?
The glacier is 18 miles long, three miles wide and up to 2,300ft deep. It is one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating, and one of 48 glaciers fed by the Southern Patagonian Icefield, a landform shared with Chile that contains the world’s third-largest reserves of fresh water.

Take me there
It’s a long haul down here, so let a tour operator create a shorter highlights trip.
